Adopt Yetta

Mixed Breed · Female

Type/Breed: mixed breed (non-LOF) Chip Number: 642099001091377 History: Left the Datcha shelter in Romania. Adopted once, she returned to adoption. Personality/Description: Yetta is a shy dog who will need time to gain confidence. She is more distrustful of men. Loud noises and sudden movements scare her, so gentleness will be required. She gets along well with other animals of the same species, learns from them and tends to imitate them! She is okay with cats (if they are calm, otherwise she will hide to avoid them). With rabbits, she shows no reaction. With children, it is better to avoid very young ones, but once the child understands that a dog is not a toy, it's okay. A calm environment and a person who is available and has some experience will be preferred as the work may take time. Yetta is 35cm at the withers and weighs 10/12 kg. 15 days after arriving in her new home, and with the framework that her foster family applies at home, Yetta is adapting well, the only destruction so far: her bed! No problems with children (children are properly supervised regarding dogs). Some accidents of cleanliness at night. She loves playing with the dogs in the house. She no longer shows resource guarding, no problems with cats (she doesn't even notice them). She is a rather calm dog who does not pull on the leash. She will need to be well guided and continue the basic training that her foster family has put in place (her foster family Penne Education Canine is a dog trainer and can provide you with their valuable advice if needed). Adoption fee: 270 euros (including membership). Adoption outside of France is entirely possible. The adopter must also be able to visit the foster family to meet the animal. Vaccinated: YES + rabies and passport. To adopt, please complete this form: have this certificate completed by a veterinarian or an ASV and present it to us after signing it: Finally, this dog does not suit you or is no longer available?

About Yetta

What life with Yetta looks like

Yetta is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Action 4 Pets in France.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Yetta, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Yetta?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Action 4 Pets handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Yetta on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Yetta if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Action 4 Pets will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Yetta already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Yetta isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Action 4 Pets early rather than rehoming privately; they know Yetta and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
