Ylvie

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 8 months

Ylvie, a friendly, outgoing and loving puppy, waits in the shelter for her big chance. While other dogs already enjoy the security of their own homes, she hopes to be discovered and pack her bags soon. Ylvie is a friendly, outgoing and loving puppy who enjoys interacting with people and enjoys all forms of attention. With her cheerful nature and curiosity, she brings everything with her that makes a young dog so special. She wants to belong, discover and go through thick and thin with her people. Like every young dog, Ylvie is still at the beginning of her journey. Life in a house, everyday noises, fixed routines and many new situations are still unknown to her. She will have to learn house training, staying alone relaxed, walking on a leash and many other things. With loving guidance, patience and understanding, she will gradually find her way in her new life. The exciting time of growing up is still ahead of her. Her family should therefore be happy to accompany Ylvie through the coming months and give her the necessary security for all the new experiences. We are looking for people with heart who give a young dog the chance to arrive and build trust. People who are not looking for perfection, but for a loyal companion for life. We are looking for a loving home or a foster home for Ylvie so that she can leave the shelter soon and finally start her happy future. Ylvie is vaccinated and chipped and will be placed with a protection contract after a positive pre-control. Due to her age, she is not yet spayed. Departure possible from 13.11.2026. General note on our protégés: Our dogs in Romania are regularly visited so that we can always re-evaluate their behavior and development. These personal impressions help us very much to convey a possible good picture of each individual dog. Nevertheless, we would like to point out that a dog in a new environment - with new people, new processes and new impressions - can also show itself differently. This is normal and is part of every change process. Many dogs open up faster at home and show sides that were not visible in the shelter. Our assessments are therefore based on current observations, but are not a guarantee for every behavior in the new environment. They should give an orientation and show how the dog presents himself in the shelter - and what potential is in him. We are convinced: With patience, understanding and a loving environment, every dog can find his way and develop positively.

About Ylvie

What life with Ylvie looks like

Ylvie is a large puppy mixed breed dog waiting at Vierbeiner in Not e.V. in Germany.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Ylvie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Ylvie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Vierbeiner in Not e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Ylvie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Ylvie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Vierbeiner in Not e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Ylvie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Ylvie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Vierbeiner in Not e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ylvie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
