Her story: Together with her brother Fritz, Ylwie was discovered in a park in the Romanian town of Sangeorz a few months ago. It quickly became clear that the two were not escaped but were cruelly abandoned. However, our little Terrier-Mix-female dog had a stroke of luck, as she was allowed to travel to Germany to a foster home at the beginning of October. Ylwie now presents herself as a cuddly, playful, and adventurous mouse who can quickly adapt to current situations and also got along well with her foster parents' first dog. Currently, puberty is in full swing, which often leads to some mischief in her head, which is shown in overzealous and impulsive behavior. At the moment, she loves to jump over large hurdles and climb on furniture. It is important to show Ylwie boundaries with patience and caution to prevent her from getting hurt. Apart from a few exceptions, Ylwie is house-trained. Driving in the car and walking obediently on a leash work without problems. Overall, she is very eager to learn, friendly, and a joy to have around. Typical for a Terrier-Mix, a slight prey drive slumbers in Ylwie, which can be suppressed through clear commands. From time to time, she barks when something unsettles her, and here it also helps to address and calm Ylwie directly. She accepts children in her surroundings without problems. In general, the mouse is a real winner. Due to her size and long back, it should be avoided that Ylwie climbs stairs to spare her vertebrae as long as possible. Ihre Geschichte: Gemeinsam mit ihrem Bruder Fritz wurde Ylwie vor einigen Monaten in einem Park der rumänischen Kleinstadt Sangeorz entdeckt. Schnell wurde klar, dass die beiden nicht ausgebüxt waren, sondern grausam ausgesetzt wurden. Doch unsere kleine Terrier-Mix-Hündin hatte Glück im Unglück, denn Anfang Oktober durfte sie nach Deutschland auf eine Pflegestelle reisen. Ylwie präsentiert sich mittlerweile als eine verschmuste, verspielte und abenteuerlustige Maus, die sich blitzgescheit und schnell auf aktuelle Situationen einstellen kann und auch mit dem Erst-Hund ihrer Pflegeeltern sofort zurechtkam. Die Pubertät ist aktuell in vollem Gange, was nicht selten dazu führt, dass Ylwie einige Flausen im Kopf hat, was sich in übermütigem und unüberlegtem Verhalten zeigen kann. Im Moment liebt sie es, große Hürden im Sprung zu überwinden sowie auf Möbeln herumzuklettern. Hier ist es wichtig, dem Wuschelkopf mit Ruhe und Bedacht Grenzen aufzuzeigen, damit sie sich nicht verletzt. Bis auf ganz wenige Ausnahmen ist Ylwie stubenrein. Das Fahren im Auto sowie das folgsame Laufen an der Leine funktionieren ohne Probleme. Insgesamt ist sie sehr lernwillig, freundlich und für jeden Spaß zu haben. Typisch für einen Terrier-Mix schlummert in Ylwie ein leichter Jagdtrieb, der aber durch klare Ansprache unterbunden werden kann. Ab und an bellt sie, wenn sie etwas verunsichert, auch hier hilft es aber, Ylwie direkt anzusprechen und zu beruhigen. Kinder in ihrer Umgebung akzeptiert sie problemlos. Alles in allem ist die Maus ein echter Hauptgewinn. Aufgrund ihrer Größe und des langen Rückens sollte es jedoch vermieden werden, dass Ylwie Treppen steigt, damit ihre Bandscheiben so lange wie möglich geschont bleiben. Daher ist ein wenig Unterstützung notwendig, wenn sie z.B. aufs Bett springen möchte – hier bieten sich Podeste oder Mini-Treppchen an. Ist Ylwie schon in dein Herz gehüpft?
