Yoda

Mixed Breed · Male

Yoda ID No.: 1055938 Breed: Schnauzer-Mix Age: approx. 05/2025 Gender: Male Shoulder Height: approx. 55 cm Neutered/Spayed: Yes Location: Marbella (Spain) Application Form Yoda – a cheerful family dog with a big heart Yoda (approx. *05/25, approx. 55 cm) lives at our partner animal shelter Triple A Marbella in Spain and is waiting there for people who will finally give him the home he deserves. The friendly Schnauzer-mix male was found alone in San Pedro. Together with some clues, we assume that he originally lived with homeless people or traveling individuals. At the shelter, he met Schnuki—a dog who not only looks strikingly similar to him but also shares his personality. The two hit it off from the very first moment, and everything points to them being brothers from the same litter. Yoda is the more sensitive and gentle of the two brothers. He loves people above all else and enjoys every form of attention. Whether it’s walks, shared adventures, or simply spending time with his trusted humans—being there is what matters most to him. At the same time, he shows himself to be friendly, cheerful, and playful, and he approaches other dogs openly and sociably. As befits a young dog, Yoda still brings a good dose of youthful exuberance with him. When he’s happy, he loves to jump up on his people, shower them with kisses, and just wants to be as close to them as possible. Yet he’s highly eager to learn and quickly understands which rules apply. He accepts clear, fair boundaries well and likes to orient himself around his humans. Particularly touching is his loving interaction with children. After the initial moments full of excitement, Yoda becomes gentle, patient, and cuddly. He seeks out contact, showers everyone with kisses, and relishes every bit of attention. That’s why we can easily imagine him as a family dog. Yoda can be rehomed either as an only dog or together with an existing dog. Precisely because he tends to be friendly, soft, and submissive himself, he could also be a joyful companion for a shy or insecure dog. The only important thing is that he continues to have regular contact with other dogs and can fully develop his social skills. For Yoda, we’re looking for a loving home with people who enjoy showing a young dog the world. Dog experience would be nice, but it’s not a must. Much more important are patience, consistency, and the willingness to keep learning together with him. With his open, people-oriented nature, Yoda has all the best prerequisites to become a wonderful family and companion dog. Yoda is neutered, vaccinated, chipped, and has an EU pet passport. Before leaving the country, he’s been tested for Mediterranean diseases and treated for worms and fleas. Vaccinations: Yes Mediterranean check: Yes Microchip: Yes Diseases: None known Shelter dog: No Adoption fee: €500 including transport Contact person: Annika Beger Tel: Email: Application form

About Yoda

What life with Yoda looks like

Yoda is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at Helfende Hände e.V. in Germany.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Yoda, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Yoda?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Helfende Hände e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Yoda on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Yoda if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Helfende Hände e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Yoda already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Yoda isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Helfende Hände e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Yoda and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
