Yoru

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 1 year

Yoru 264662 (as of July 2026) Born approximately July 2025 Shoulder height approximately 58 cm male, neutered, chipped, vaccinated, dewormed At the shelter since 08.12.2025 Location: Animal Shelter Prijatelji/Croatia The dog's transport is organized by us Yoru would finally like to arrive Yoru came to the shelter with his mother Candy from a village. For the young male, the world was full of fear. He barked, paced restlessly, and wouldn't let anyone near him. But loving trainers and caregivers at the shelter didn't give up on him. Step by step, Yoru learned that humans can also offer safety and security. Today, he goes for regular walks and really enjoys this time. Before the leash is put on, he still needs his little ritual and lots of petting. After that, he is ready to discover the world. With his mother Candy, he plays happily and shows more and more what a lovely young dog is in him. Nevertheless, the shelter cannot replace a home. The noise and unrest are not a place where a sensitive dog can really flourish in the long run. We wish Yoru patient people who give him time and let him arrive at his own pace. Whoever wins his heart will get a loyal companion who rewards every small progress with complete trust. Yoru has achieved so much. Now he only needs the most important thing. A family that never leaves him behind again. He should not have to spend his youth behind animal shelter bars. If this dog arrives at your home, please give him time to settle in quietly. Much will still be new to him. That's why he wants to learn the dog multiplication table together with your help and patience, such as climbing stairs, going to the bathroom outside, or walking on a leash. A good dog school (where animal protection dogs are also welcome) can help you with this. Joint training also strengthens your bond and trust in each other. We only know the dogs from the shelter and usually don't know if they are compatible with cats or other animals. Unfortunately, we can't guarantee that. A gentle introduction is therefore best. We will be happy to support you from the beginning. About Yoru

What life with Yoru looks like

Yoru is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Notfellchen Rumänien e.V. in Germany.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Yoru, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Yoru?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Notfellchen Rumänien e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Yoru on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Yoru if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Notfellchen Rumänien e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Yoru already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Yoru isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Notfellchen Rumänien e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Yoru and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
