adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! The handsome male dog is about 10 months old and is in the exciting phase of maturing. With his light, slightly tousled fur, expressive amber eyes, and athletic build, he is not only visually a real stunner but also convincing with his pleasant nature. His friendly gaze and gentle aura make it hard not to fall in love with him immediately. Visually, Yoshi resembles a mixed breed of a retriever. His alert expression, slender, agile build, and attentive nature suggest that retriever genes might be present. Retriever dogs are known as intelligent, sensitive, and eager-to-learn companions who want to work closely with their humans. They enjoy shared activities and mental stimulation and are often particularly attentive to their surroundings. Whether or not a retriever is truly in Yoshi is something we can't say with certainty. However, his future family should enjoy having a clever and active dog in their daily lives. Initially, Yoshi meets strangers with some caution and reserve. He needs a moment to assess new situations and people. Once given this time, he quickly shows his cuddly and people-oriented side. Then he enjoys cuddles and comes to his people willingly to seek attention and closeness. With other dogs, Yoshi has shown to be friendly and social so far. His first contacts in the shelter were smooth and relaxed. A home where he has ample opportunities to move, play, and explore the world would be especially wonderful for him. A securely fenced yard where he can run freely over the grass would certainly make him very happy. As a young dog, of course, Yoshi still has much to learn. The dog ABC, new environmental impressions, and the challenges of puberty are part of it. With patience, loving consistency, and clear boundaries, he will develop into a wonderful companion. Attending a positively run dog training class could support him wonderfully and strengthen his bond to his people at the same time. For Yoshi, we wish for people who enjoy accompanying a young dog on its journey and giving him the time to settle in at his own pace. People who appreciate his sensitive nature and are eager to grow together with him. Whoever gives him this chance gets a friendly, clever, and lovable companion by his side. Yoshi is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and flea-treated. He is available after a positive adoption. Thank you, Andrea H.! You have given Yoshi his name and thus his own identity. As of 04.06.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen!

About Yoshi

What life with Yoshi looks like

Yoshi is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Yoshi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Yoshi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Yoshi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Yoshi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Yoshi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Yoshi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Yoshi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
