With its beige fur covered in mud, fleas, and ticks, and eyes filled with fear, Yousi hobbled on three legs, a victim of a hit-and-run and without a home. Cars swerved around her, ignoring that she deserved to be saved. Fortunately, an adopter from HHCC noticed her situation. With courage and patience, she managed to stop traffic and approach her, speaking to her with kindness to earn her trust. Upon examining Yousi, she noticed that her paw was severely damaged and that fear still reflected in her eyes. Without hesitation, she took her to the veterinarian. The diagnosis was clear: she needed urgent care. Without a microchip, she only wore an orange collar that indicated she had once had a home. After a critical operation, she was admitted to the association to receive the care she so desperately needed. Although she is in temporary foster care and under observation, her desire to live shines brightly. Despite the pain and abandonment she has endured, Yousi is tender and observant. She gets along well with other dogs and those who show her love. Her shyness is merely a shell that hides her longing to find a home where she can feel safe.
