Yuki

American Akita · Female · Young · 3 years

Yuki is a female dog, 2023.01 born, resembling an American Akita, who was found near Kóka. The Szurkolók az Állatokért foundation brought her into our care, after it became clear how difficult the conditions were that she tried to survive in. This young, pregnant dog was lying in a dead animal. It was a heartbreaking sight, yet from the very first moments it was evident how much kindness and trust was hidden in her towards people. Yuki is a very friendly lady. Her appearance is dignified, and her connection to people is simply amazing. She quickly bonds, is attentive, attached, and it's clear how much she longs for safety and love. We are looking for a loving family for her, where she can finally rest, where she no longer has to do without, run away or be afraid. A home where she will be valued, cared for, and where she can live her life as a real family member. Yuki is vaccinated, chipped and ready to be adopted as a family member.

About Yuki

What life with Yuki looks like

Yuki is a small young adult american akita dog waiting at Noé Állatotthon in Budapest.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

Note from the shelter: Previously pregnant rescue with traumatic background

🇭🇺Adopting from Hungary

Hungarian shelters operate at high capacity given the country's stray population. Animals leave sterilized, chipped, and with a passport. Many shelters coordinate transport to Germany, Austria, and the Nordics.

Frequently asked

Adopting Yuki, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Yuki?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Noé Állatotthon handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Yuki on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Yuki if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Noé Állatotthon will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Yuki already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Yuki isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Noé Állatotthon early rather than rehoming privately; they know Yuki and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (HU). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
