Adoption requirements adoption process Request this animal now! Adoption requirements adoption process Request this cat now! Yuki and Anouk are two little sisters with a very special connection. They were found under a truck near a railway line at the age of about six weeks. From a distance, they could be heard softly meowing - probably they had been abandoned shortly before. The place was extremely dangerous. Fortunately, they could be secured in time and taken to a veterinarian for treatment. During the examination, a Giardia infection was detected, but after a phase of intensive treatment and loving care, both are healthy and stable today. During this time, it became clear how closely the two are connected. Yuki is the more talkative of the two. She likes to share, is curious and wants to be noticed. Anouk, a delicate kitten with exceptionally long eyelashes, lovingly takes on the role of protector. She often seems like a small "mom" for her sister and gives her security. Together they are playful, clingy, and full of curiosity. Both are very people-oriented, love to play and enjoy affection. They get along well with other cats, but should not be separated. Single placement is not possible. Dogs have not been tested yet. Free roaming is not planned for them. For their travel arrangements, Yuki and Anouk are spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed and treated for fleas. They are negative for FIV and FeLV. After a positive home check, those who give Yuki and Anouk a home will not only receive two playful kittens, but also a well-coordinated team with a deep sibling bond. A heartfelt thank you to godmother Boby S., who has accompanied Yuki and Anouk and made their way to a shared home possible. Date: 04.03.

Stand: 04.03.2026

About Yuki&Anouk

What life with Yuki&Anouk looks like

Yuki&Anouk is a puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Yuki&Anouk, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Yuki&Anouk?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Yuki&Anouk on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Yuki&Anouk if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Yuki&Anouk already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Yuki&Anouk isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Yuki&Anouk and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
