Yuna

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 1 year

animal rescuer: Vania Tzoneva born approx: August 2024 Gender: female Location: Bulgaria spayed: yes FIV test: negative FeLV test: negative Disabilities: none Compatible with: Children: not known Cats: yes Dogs: not known Requirements: NONE Single housing only suitable for apartment living, NO outdoor access Balcony or terrace desired (if available, safety measures are required) Vania received a call one evening from the store where she buys cat litter. Someone had abandoned a kitten there. The staff didn't know what to do and asked Vania for help because the tiny kitten couldn't stay in the store or go outside onto the street. When Vania arrived at the store, the little Yuna immediately showed what a special cat girl she is: As soon as she was safe, she started cuddling, as if she sensed that everything would now be okay. Yuna is a very loving and sensitive cat girl. Once she trusts a person, she shows her especially cuddly side and really enjoys being stroked and feeling close. Yuna generally gets along well with other cats. Unfortunately, she doesn't have an easy time in the large cat group with Vania, because some of the other cats repeatedly bully her. For the sensitive Yuna, this is very stressful. She often feels insecure and increasingly withdraws to avoid conflicts. In the first room where she lived, the situation became so bad at times that she hardly dared to use the toilet. Therefore, she was allowed to move to another room - but even there there are unfortunately cats that continue to pressure and bully Yuna, so that Yuna hides a lot here as well and simply can't find peace. Yuna very much wishes for a quiet home where she can finally feel safe. The life in the large cat group is very stressful for her. However, Yuna really likes other cats - she would be happiest with one or at most two social, gentle cat friends by her side. These should, however, not be dominant, so that Yuna can finally relax and show what a wonderful cat girl is inside her.

About Yuna

What life with Yuna looks like

Yuna is a large young adult mixed breed cat waiting at Glücksnasen e.V. Tierschutzverein in Germany.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Yuna, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Yuna?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Glücksnasen e.V. Tierschutzverein handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Yuna on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Yuna if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Glücksnasen e.V. Tierschutzverein will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Yuna already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Yuna isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Glücksnasen e.V. Tierschutzverein early rather than rehoming privately; they know Yuna and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
