Male · Senior · 9 years

Żaba i Traszka are looking for a home together! After the death of their caregiver, Żaba i Traszka - sweet, well-bonded suns in the age of about 12-14 years - have come under our care. Always together, they are now looking for a shared, quiet home where they can experience warmth and love in the autumn of their lives. They never go a step apart - they sleep together, cuddle, and experience everything together. What is worth knowing about them? - They are true senior dogs - they value peace and human closeness. - They are friendly, sociable, gentle, and affectionate. - They love treats, caresses, and soft beds. - They don't need long walks - they will be best in a house with a garden or a ground-floor apartment (they have difficulty with stairs). - They can be picked up and do well in a calm daily routine. We are looking for a home without small children, or with children over 12 years of age. The description was created based on the observation of the puppies in the animal shelter. Żaba i Traszka are under the care of OTOZ Animals animal shelter in Tczew. The dogs are vaccinated, dewormed, sterilized.

About Żaba i Traszka

What life with Żaba i Traszka looks like

Żaba i Traszka is a small senior dog waiting at OTOZ Animals — Schronisko w Tczewie in Poland.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

Frequently asked

Adopting Żaba i Traszka, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Żaba i Traszka?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. OTOZ Animals — Schronisko w Tczewie handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Żaba i Traszka on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Żaba i Traszka if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — OTOZ Animals — Schronisko w Tczewie will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Żaba i Traszka already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Żaba i Traszka isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with OTOZ Animals — Schronisko w Tczewie early rather than rehoming privately; they know Żaba i Traszka and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
