Zalakomári Pasa

Bullmastiff · Male · Senior · 10 years

Thanks to the coordinated work of several animal welfare organizations, another breeding facility has been shut down in Zalakomár. We are currently waiting for the official government records to establish ownership. Initially, everyone has undergone veterinary examinations, received their first vaccinations, been given names, and will be placed with families through temporary or permanent adoption agreements after being spayed or neutered. In every case, we will bring the new family member to the adoptive family's home. One of the lucky ones is Zalakomári Pasa, a male bullmastiff born in 2016, who spent his life at a breeding facility in a stable, just vegetating, until the day the wind blew off the roof tiles! He is friendly and calm. He probably does not see well with one eye, so he will need an eye examination soon. To inquire, please see a detailed introduction letter, additional pictures HERE!

Több állatvédő szervezet összehangolt munkájának köszönhetően egy újabb szaporítótelep került felszámolásra Zalakomárban. Jelenleg a kormányhivatali jegyzőkönyvre várunk, a tulajdonjog megszerzése miatt. About Zalakomári Pasa

What life with Zalakomári Pasa looks like

Zalakomári Pasa is a small senior bullmastiff dog waiting at Noé Állatotthon in Budapest.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

Note from the shelter: Vision impairment in one eye, needs ophthalmological examination

🇭🇺Adopting from Hungary

Hungarian shelters operate at high capacity given the country's stray population. Animals leave sterilized, chipped, and with a passport. Many shelters coordinate transport to Germany, Austria, and the Nordics.

Frequently asked

Adopting Zalakomári Pasa, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Zalakomári Pasa?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Noé Állatotthon handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Zalakomári Pasa on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Zalakomári Pasa if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Noé Állatotthon will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Zalakomári Pasa already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Zalakomári Pasa isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Noé Állatotthon early rather than rehoming privately; they know Zalakomári Pasa and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (HU). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
