Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 5 months

adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Zarina has found her forever home! Her story: The gentle Zarina resembles a small mole. She jumps around joyfully everywhere, stands on her hind legs a lot, and looks curiously. She just arrived in her loving foster family and wraps everyone around her little finger with her friendly nature. The little girl puppy is very people-oriented and loves to be close to her trusted people—always friendly, curious, and clingy. She is also very cuddly and enjoys every petting session to the fullest. Her affection is shown in a very affectionate way and cuddles must not be missing. Zarina not only has a super cute personality but is also quite beautiful. Her black-brown fur pattern with white patches on her chest and paws is not to be missed, and with her dark button eyes, she looks straight into your heart. Zarina already knows some basic commands and is very eager to learn more, she is easily bribed with treats. She is still a bit overwhelmed by the environmental stimuli outside, but that is currently being worked on. Everything else will be shown by the time of adaptation. For our dark beauty, we wish loving people who enjoy spending a lot of time with her. Originally, Zarina came from Romania, Baia Mare. There, she was found on the street with her six siblings, Sol, Yumi, Fips, Speedy Gonzales, Solea, Helga, and their mom, Tabby, and was brought to safety. Zarina is vaccinated, microchipped, and has an EU pet passport. Has the sweet little girl puppy already wrapped you around her little finger? She is looking forward to meeting you. Our special thanks go to the namesake Michaela, who gave the sweet Zarina her name and thus an unmistakable identity. Status: 02.11.

Stand: 02.11.2025

About Zarina

What life with Zarina looks like

Zarina is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Zarina, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Zarina?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Zarina on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Zarina if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Zarina already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Zarina isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Zarina and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
