Zatar og Anis

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 3 years

"Hi! We are Zatar og Anis, two little souls who belong together, and who hope there is a quiet home out there that can be ours. My name is Zatar. I am the slightly more shy one of us. I still think the world is a bit big and scary, but I'm also curious... I like to peek into the living room to see what you're up to, until you look back, then I have to run and hide again 🙈 I love sitting by the window and dreaming away, and Anis... she's my very best friend. I'm not ready for cuddles yet, but I'm trying to be a bit braver every day. And then there's me, Anis 💕 I'm a bit tougher than Zatar (I have to be), and you can actually get quite close to me. But if you forget yourself and get too close, I'll let you know; I'm a little lady with clear boundaries! I love treats (but stay away from the floating ones, thanks 😅), and most of all I love Zatar. He is my safety in the world. We wish for a quiet home without children, where we can be ourselves and take the time we need. We aren't kitten yet, but we promise to fill the home with small, nice moments: curious glances, careful steps, and the quiet joy of seeing us become a bit more secure. The most important thing for us is to be together. Always. Maybe you're the one who sees us, just as we are? 💛" - A hug from Zatar & Anis Zatar: I have something called FIV. It doesn't bother me, but it means I can't go out and roam anymore. FIV can infect other cats if we get into a fight and bite each other deeply. FIV does not infect humans or other animals besides cats, so there's no reason to worry. Cats with FIV can live long and completely normal lives without symptoms, but they should - like all cats - be regularly checked by a veterinarian. If you're unsure what FIV is and what it means, the people at Heart for Homeless Cats can certainly explain more through a completely non-binding conversation.

«Hei!

About Zatar og Anis

What life with Zatar og Anis looks like

Zatar og Anis is a young adult mixed breed cat waiting at Hjerte for Hjemløse Katter in Trollåsen.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇳🇴Adopting from Norway

Norwegian rescues require thorough background checks. Animals leave with a Nordic pet passport and full vetting. Norway is outside the EU so import rules differ slightly — TRACES applies.

Frequently asked

Adopting Zatar og Anis, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Zatar og Anis?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Hjerte for Hjemløse Katter handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Zatar og Anis on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Zatar og Anis if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Hjerte for Hjemløse Katter will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Zatar og Anis already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Zatar og Anis isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Hjerte for Hjemløse Katter early rather than rehoming privately; they know Zatar og Anis and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NB). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
