Zelda, ca. 1,5 Jahre

European Shorthair · Female · Young · 1 year

Zelda comes from a hot spot for stray cats and has been secured for spaying/neutering. She is not used to being confined and is not accustomed to close contact with humans. Zelda is therefore still very shy and fearful when approached. She needs more time to get used to being around people. We would like to find Zelda a quiet, empathetic home without young children, where she is treated gently and allowed to set her own pace in building trust. A friendly existing companion would certainly help her to overcome her fear. Zelda needs outdoor access in her new home. Dein Name (Pflichtfeld) Deine E-Mail-Adresse (Pflichtfeld) Betreff Deine Nachricht

What life with Zelda, ca. 1,5 Jahre looks like

Zelda, ca. 1,5 Jahre is a young adult european shorthair cat waiting at Tierschutzzentrum Ribbesbüttel in Germany.

Frequently asked

Adopting Zelda, ca. 1,5 Jahre, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Zelda, ca. 1,5 Jahre?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzzentrum Ribbesbüttel handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Zelda, ca. 1,5 Jahre on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Zelda, ca. 1,5 Jahre if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzzentrum Ribbesbüttel will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Zelda, ca. 1,5 Jahre already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Zelda, ca. 1,5 Jahre isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzzentrum Ribbesbüttel early rather than rehoming privately; they know Zelda, ca. 1,5 Jahre and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
