Zeus (Single cat) Animal ID: 1273 At the shelter since 30.05.2026 (Current interested parties: 0) Single cat! The stately tomcat Zeus is a very people-oriented and affectionate cat, but he doesn't care for his roommates at all. He doesn't need them and has made that very clear. He is currently housed in a single room, where he is not happy either. He only eats in the presence of a loved one, and occasionally gets some cuddles. A veterinary examination revealed hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (enlargement of the left atrium) in stage B2. Zeus is therefore given thrombosis prophylaxis (Clopidogrel), which he takes without problems in some food. In January 2027, a new cardiac ultrasound will be performed for control. A cardiac ultrasound will also be necessary approximately once a year in the future. The costs for this are approximately €250-300. The medication costs approximately €15-30 per pack and lasts for about a year. Our staff or a veterinarian will be happy to answer any further questions about the condition.

Zeus (Einzelkatze) Tier-ID: 1273 Im Tierheim seit 30.05.2026 (Aktuelle Interessenten: 0) Einzelkatze! Der stattliche Kater Zeus ist ein sehr menschenbezogener und verschmuster Kater, der allerdings von seinen Zimmerkumpels gar nichts hält. Er braucht sie nicht und das hat er sehr deutlich gezeigt. Z. Z. ist er in einem Einzelzimmer untergebracht, wo er allerdings auch nicht glücklich ist. Er frisst nur in Anwesenheit eines lieben Menschen, holt sich zwischendurch wieder ein paar Kuscheleinheiten ab. Bei einer tierärztlichen Untersuchung wurde eine hypertrophe Kardiomyopathie (Vergrößerung des linken Vorhofs) im Stadium B2 festgestellt. Zeus bekommt daher eine Thromboseprophylaxe (Clopidogrel), was er problemlos in etwas Futter zu sich nimmt. Im Januar 2027 wird ein erneuter Herzultraschall zur Kontrolle durchgeführt. Ein Herzultraschall wird auch zukünftig ca. einmal im Jahr notwendig sein. Die Kosten hierfür betragen ca. 250–300 € Das Medikament kostet ca. 15 - 30€ pro Packung und reicht für ca. ein Jahr.
