Adopt Zeusz

Mixed Breed · Male

Boldly handsome, with a unique appearance, playful, people-oriented, and named Zeusz – who could resist? This fox was born in May 2023 and has been a resident of our shelter since October 2024. Since then, he has come a long way – not just during walks! Previously, he was somewhat "picky about dogs" (he was like someone who prefers to look left and right on the street instead of using Tinder), but he has become much more refined now. On Saturday walks, he no longer looks at every four-legged creature challengingly – especially female dogs seem more friendly to him. We recommend this dog for a single dog, but if someone truly falls in love, is patient, and is willing to gradually socialize him towards a suitable companion, we are open to the opportunity! Zeusz is a neutered male who literally loves people. He cuddles, plays, seeks company – and waits for someone to choose him as a lifelong friend. Extremely smart, trainable, and he also requires training. A dog school would definitely benefit him, but it's also certain that he would be an excellent student. He can be easily motivated with play! If you feel that you are looking for a loyal, mischievous, and people-centric dog, Zeusz is waiting just for you! He is currently waiting for his forever home at our shelter. He is available for visits on Saturdays in Csévharaszt, Pest county. You can apply or inquire via private message or at the following contact: 06 20 543 5092.

About Zeusz

What life with Zeusz looks like

Zeusz is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at Luca Kutyamenedék in Hungary.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇭🇺Adopting from Hungary

Hungarian shelters operate at high capacity given the country's stray population. Animals leave sterilized, chipped, and with a passport. Many shelters coordinate transport to Germany, Austria, and the Nordics.

Frequently asked

Adopting Zeusz, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Zeusz?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Luca Kutyamenedék handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Zeusz on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Zeusz if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Luca Kutyamenedék will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Zeusz already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Zeusz isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Luca Kutyamenedék early rather than rehoming privately; they know Zeusz and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (HU). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
