Zeytin (Weight approx. 1.7kg, still in castration quarantine until February 13, 2026) came to us as a relinquished pet. His owner received him as a gift but showed no interest in him and even wanted to release him shortly after Christmas. He had only lived in a small cage until now and his care had already been neglected. Due to the animal welfare-unfriendly individual housing, Zeytin unfortunately has not yet had the opportunity to learn to live with fellow animals. He is a very lively fellow and is now making up for everything he did not experience in his life so far. As he belongs to the breed "Ram," special attention must always be paid to his hearing, as this breeding practice poses a significant risk for ear infections. Currently, Zeytin lives in indoor housing. Zeytin (Gewicht ca. 1,7kg) kam als Abgabetier zu uns. Seine Besitzerin hat ihn geschenkt bekommen, zeigte aber schnell kein Interesse mehr an ihn und wollte ihn sogar kurz nach Weihnachten aussetzen. Er lebte bisher nur in einem kleinen Käfig und seine Pflege wurde bereits sehr vernachlässigt. Durch die tierschutzwidrige Einzelhaltung hat Zeytin leider das Zusammenleben mit Artgenossen bisher nicht kennenlernen können. Er ist ein sehr munteres Kerlchen und holt nun alles nach, was er bisher in seinem Leben nicht ausleben konnte. Wenn ihm etwas nicht passt, kann er jedoch auch zubeißen, was vermutlich der Käfighaltung und Missachtung seiner Bedürfnisse in seinem alten Zuhause geschuldet ist. Aufgrund einer Hüftluxation (links) musste Zeytin operiert werden (Femurkopfresektion), was er aber super überstanden hat. Leider kann er im Alter jedoch Arthrose bekommen. Da er der Rasse "Widder" angehört, muss stets besonderes Augenmerk auf seine Gehörgänge gelegt werden, da diese Qualzucht ein starkes Risiko für Ohrenentzündungen mit sich bringt.
