ZIKO

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 1 month

Ziko - a gentle soul with a big heart is looking for a safe haven! 🐾 Meet Ziko - a unique young dog born in 2025, weighing just 10 kg. Ziko is the epitome of gentleness and canine delicacy. He is one of those dogs that immediately evoke a protective instinct with their subtlety. Ziko came under our care quite recently, so he still feels a bit scared by the new situation and the shelter's hustle and bustle. However, there is no trace of aggression in him - only shyness and a great desire for peace. He is the type of dog that prefers to withdraw and wait for a gesture from a human rather than imposing his presence. Why will Ziko steal your heart? Ideal size: At 10 kg, Ziko is a "lap dog" who will fit perfectly even in a smaller apartment and will be an excellent companion for joint travels. Young age: He has his whole life ahead of him! With a patient owner, he will quickly overcome his initial fear and become a joyful, devoted friend. Gentle disposition: He is extremely gentle in contact. He is looking for someone who will tell him with a certain but gentle voice that he is now safe. Clean slate: Ziko is just learning to live alongside humans, and every small step in building his confidence will be a great reward for the new owner. We are looking for a loving, peaceful home for Ziko, which will give him time to get used to his new daily routine. Ziko dreams of a person who will give him a safe corner, a soft bed, and a hand that always finds time for gentle stroking.

Ziko – mały wrażliwiec o wielkim sercu szuka bezpiecznej przystani! 🐾 Poznajcie Ziko – wyjątkowego, młodego pieska urodzonego w 2025 roku, ważącego zaledwie 10 kg. Ziko to kwintesencja łagodności i psiej delikatności.

About ZIKO

What life with ZIKO looks like

ZIKO is a small puppy mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Puszatek in Warszawa.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Frequently asked

Adopting ZIKO, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about ZIKO?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Puszatek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw ZIKO on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt ZIKO if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Puszatek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is ZIKO already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if ZIKO isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Puszatek early rather than rehoming privately; they know ZIKO and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
