adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Zoe has found a home! Her story: The little 4.5-month-old Zoe traveled to her foster home in mid-July, where she is now taking her first steps into family life in a loving and safe home. There, she shows herself to be playful and curious – a joyful puppy that explores the world with great enthusiasm and is very people-oriented. Zoe loves to play, learn, and then snuggle up closely to her people. House training is currently being practiced diligently – Zoe is attentive, clever, and makes daily progress. She gets along well with other dogs and also looks forward to children. Zoe is expected to reach a medium size – but she has a very delicate build. Of course, this can't be said exactly at such a young age, but she will surely be a hand-sized, athletic companion with a lot of heart and temperament. Soon, Zoe will be entering the next big developmental phase: puberty. It can happen that previously learned things are forgotten – the ears stand on end, the little female dog discovers her own mind, and the desire to test boundaries grows. This is completely normal and part of growing up. With humor, patience, and lovingly consistent training based on positive reinforcement, this phase can be mastered well. A visit to a dog training class can be supportive – there, you learn together, meet like-minded people, and receive professional guidance. For Zoe, we wish for a home with people who have the time, peace, and joy to show the world to a young dog. People who give her security, foster her affectionately, and stand by her in all life situations. A confident single dog is welcome, but not necessary. Zoe is microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and has an EU pet passport. The little world explorer is very excited about a visit to her foster family. Her suitcase is already packed – she is ready for a home full of love, security, and adventure. Against an adoption fee of 500 Euros and after a positive assessment. Do you want to be the rock for Zoe? Many thanks to Laura. You named Zoe with her name. As of: 03.08.

Vielen Dank an Laura. Du hast Zoe ihren Namen geschenkt. Stand: 03.08.2025

About Zoe

What life with Zoe looks like

Zoe is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Zoe, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Zoe?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Zoe on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Zoe if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Zoe already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Zoe isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Zoe and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
