Adopt Zołza

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 4 years

Zołzula is starting to look for a home. She is a mixed breed, likely a spaniel and poodle mix. She is about 4 years old. She came to us from an intervention by a pseudo-breeder on February 8, 2026. For a very long time, she struggled to recover from the changes. Under high stress, she barked and bit. The current caregiver is able to do everything with her, but an unfamiliar person already has a slight edge. She needs to work on her emotions. Our little acrobat can climb the netting and jump between rooms in moments of fear. She doesn’t like being left alone and may vocalize sometimes. She tolerates dogs and cats but isn’t always very nice to dogs :), but the world is better for them. She can be poodle-aggressive towards them. ●♡● An ideal home for her would be one with a yard, another stable, younger, and similarly sized dog, no children, and patient, calm people. Zołza must go on a leash in the first phase. She has been spayed. ●obligatory minimum two walks with the other dog.

Zołzula zaczyna szukać domu. To mieszaniec 2 ras. Prawdopodobnie spaniel i pudelek. ●♡● Idealny dom to: Dom z ogrodem, drugim psem(stabilnym stosunkowo młodym i jej gabarytów oraz wykastrowany), bez dzieci i cierpliwi, spokojni ludzie. Zołza w pierwszym okresie musi chodzić na smyczy. Jest wysterylizowana. ●obowiązkowe minimum dwa spacery z drugim psem. Kraków i okolice

About Zołza

What life with Zołza looks like

Zołza is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Dog Rescue Poland in Warsaw.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Zołza, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Zołza?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Dog Rescue Poland handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Zołza on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Zołza if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Dog Rescue Poland will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Zołza already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Zołza isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Dog Rescue Poland early rather than rehoming privately; they know Zołza and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
