Adopt Zorro-6

Husky · Male · Adult · 7 years

Native Country: Hungary The beautiful Zorro became a resident of Menhely's on January 7, 2026. He wandered aimlessly around the parking lot of the Kecskemét shopping center, looking for something edible, and was then brought to the animal shelter. During the microchip check, his owners were found, but it turned out that his home was a very bad place for a dog, and he was confiscated. Zorro now hopes for a new family that will welcome him forever, never leave him behind, and show him how great life can be. Despite his rough past, Zorro is a loving, affectionate, lively, and friendly four-legged friend. A wonderful dog who finally wants to conquer and explore the world and make up for all that was missed. Zorro is attached to people and loves it when they give him attention, time, and affection, something he hasn't known before and doesn't want to miss out on. Unfortunately, this is not possible for many dogs in the animal shelter, or it comes up short. Zorro is looking forward to his new people teaching him the basics of dog training and continuing to challenge and encourage him. He would certainly be a pleasant companion for jogging, hiking, cycling, or similar activities, as long as both human and dog have a good time and a lot of fun together. Zorro gets along well with his fellow animals and is currently (January 28, 2026) being integrated into a mixed pack. For our wonderful Zorro, we are looking for loving and adventure-loving dog lovers who can love, appreciate, and lead the spirit of Huskies. Zorro should be properly exercised, given a secure home, with lots of cuddles, extended and varied walks, sporting activities, and of course full family integration. On March 25, 2026, a voluntary, Hungarian helper wrote: "Zorro came into the care of the animal shelter in January 2026. In March, he had the opportunity to go for a walk with his mentor. His mentor said that Zorro is a loving, sweet, and friendly dog. He is people-oriented and likes being petted and spoiled. He started the walk very excited, but was particularly attentive. He walks very nicely on the leash. During the walk, he showed interest in other dogs." Who can be a faithful friend to Zorro? During castration, it was discovered that he had an internal testicle. Therefore, his castration was more complicated, but now everything is fine, and the testicle in the abdominal cavity has been removed. Zorro is travel-ready.

About Zorro-6

What life with Zorro-6 looks like

Zorro-6 is a adult husky dog waiting at Animal Happyend in Animal Happyend.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Zorro-6, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Zorro-6?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Animal Happyend handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Zorro-6 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Zorro-6 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Animal Happyend will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Zorro-6 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Zorro-6 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Animal Happyend early rather than rehoming privately; they know Zorro-6 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
