Zorro

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 4 years

This two-year-old mixed-breed dog has endured extreme suffering: born a herder, he was neglected, always alone, and suffered from a painful femur fracture that went untreated. Thanks to the intervention of those who could not remain indifferent, he is now with us, operated on, and in the process of healing. He has also been introduced to cats accustomed to dogs, and his reaction was entirely appropriate. I am a young mixed-breed CAREA (herder) dog, born in June 2024, 16 kg of tenderness and courage. I am a mixed-breed dog, with a very soft coat, and I find myself beautiful... and what about you? I have known neglect, loneliness, and a lack of care... then one day, kind-hearted humans offered me a second chance by confiding me to the shelter. Since then? I smile. Yes, every day, look at my photo. I am a joyful, affectionate, and deeply grateful dog. My gaze? It is said to be intense... as if I understood everything you say. I trust, without reserve, those who take care of me. I am: sociable with other dogs, calm and balanced, a real magnet for hugs, highly sensitive and gentle. But the shelter is noisy... and I need calm and a life full of love. It is said that I am a rough diamond, an exceptional dog, a resilient dog, an exceptional companion... a light. I just say that I am ready to love, forever. More photos/videos: Are you interested? Vaccinated (including rabies) - Sterilized (or mandatory if too young) - Tested for Mediterranean diseases - Identified and equipped with an EU passport He is located at the shelter in Spain. Once adopted, Galgos France will take charge of his transport to France. Adoptable throughout France (except Corsica) and in neighboring countries. Our other adoptable dogs just here:

About Zorro

What life with Zorro looks like

Zorro is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at 30 Millions d'Amis in Paris.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Zorro, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Zorro?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. 30 Millions d'Amis handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Zorro on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Zorro if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — 30 Millions d'Amis will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Zorro already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Zorro isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with 30 Millions d'Amis early rather than rehoming privately; they know Zorro and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
