Zsaklin

Mixed Breed · Female

Today we are looking for a home for a small dog, Zsakli. Zsaklin is a female mixed breed dog born in January 2024, spayed. She came to the Shelter last November from a local village, where she was the seventh dog in a family where there was no need for another dog. No socialization, no chip, no vaccination. Zsaklin was unapproachable for weeks in quarantine, thinking that if they didn't touch her, they wouldn't hurt her. She barked, growled, did everything she could to scare anyone who approached her, feeling safe that way. Then one of our volunteers gained her trust, and just a few Saturdays were enough for her to become a real snuggly, clingy, "hand and foot" attached little dog. Only a few times were needed for her to wait trembling to go for a walk, to waddle on her tiny paws next to a person she could love, even if only on Saturdays and for a few minutes. If you are open to an extremely clingy, but initially a bit shy dog, we are waiting for you with Zsakli at our Saturday open day in Csevhárászton. Our phone number: 06 20 543 5092.

A telefonszámunk: 06 20 543 5092.

About Zsaklin

What life with Zsaklin looks like

Zsaklin is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Luca Kutyamenedék in Hungary.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇭🇺Adopting from Hungary

Hungarian shelters operate at high capacity given the country's stray population. Animals leave sterilized, chipped, and with a passport. Many shelters coordinate transport to Germany, Austria, and the Nordics.

Frequently asked

Adopting Zsaklin, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Zsaklin?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Luca Kutyamenedék handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Zsaklin on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Zsaklin if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Luca Kutyamenedék will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Zsaklin already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Zsaklin isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Luca Kutyamenedék early rather than rehoming privately; they know Zsaklin and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (HU). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
