Zsuzska

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 5 years

Zsuzska is a mixed breed female dog born around 2020, who came from Kál through the Füzesabonyi Animal Welfare Foundation. She has a bullet in her spine and a broken hind leg. She had severe mobility issues due to her injuries. They started the examination, which we continued and she has already undergone surgery. We still have to help her with urination, but we hope it will eventually work on its own. Since the pain has stopped, she is in high spirits. She plays with other dogs in the hospital yard. Very sweet and kind little dog. A wonderful little dog, weighing only about 10kg, who lived on the street with such serious injuries. She is now safe and we are doing everything for her. We are looking for a home for Zsuzsi, who can help her forget all the bad things she experienced in her life and show her that life is beautiful and that she is also a deserving companion for humans. We are looking exclusively for a home where she can be a full-fledged family member. Zsuzska is vaccinated, microchipped and can be adopted after sterilization.

Zsuzska kb 2020. születésű keverék szuka, aki Kálból érkezett a Füzesabonyi Állatvédő ALapítványon keresztül. About Zsuzska

What life with Zsuzska looks like

Zsuzska is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Noé Állatotthon in Budapest.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

Note from the shelter: Severe mobility limitations due to bullet in spine and broken leg. Currently requires assistance with urination. Post-surgical recovery ongoing.

🇭🇺Adopting from Hungary

Hungarian shelters operate at high capacity given the country's stray population. Animals leave sterilized, chipped, and with a passport. Many shelters coordinate transport to Germany, Austria, and the Nordics.

Frequently asked

Adopting Zsuzska, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Zsuzska?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Noé Állatotthon handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Zsuzska on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Zsuzska if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Noé Állatotthon will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Zsuzska already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Zsuzska isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Noé Állatotthon early rather than rehoming privately; they know Zsuzska and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (HU). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
