Zuko is a young mixed-breed shepherd puppy, 10 months old, who arrived at our shelter following an investigation of animal neglect. He lived confined to a cage in a room, without experiencing the outside world or basic training. Today, everything is new to him: potty training, walking on a leash, solitude, and life in a home... Zuko is shy at first and will need time, patience, and gentleness to gain confidence and progress calmly. Once reassured, he is a very food-loving and deeply affectionate dog who reveals his tenderness with time. He gets along with other dogs, and we believe that another dog in the household could greatly help him flourish and gain confidence. He can also live with cats and respectful children in a stable and nurturing environment.

Zuko est un jeune chien croisé berger de 10 mois, arrivé au refuge suite à une enquête pour maltraitance. Il vivait enfermé dans une cage, dans une pièce, sans avoir connu la vie extérieure ni les apprentissages de base. Aujourd’hui, tout est à découvrir pour lui : la propreté, la marche en laisse, la solitude, la vie en maison… Zuko est timide au début et aura besoin de temps, de patience et de douceur pour gagner confiance et progresser sereinement. Une fois rassuré, c’est un chien très gourmand et profondément affectueux, qui se révèle avec beaucoup de tendresse. Il s’entend avec les chiens et nous pensons qu’un autre chien dans le foyer pourrait grandement l’aider à s’épanouir et à prendre confiance. Il pourra également vivre avec des chats et des enfants respectueux, dans un environnement stable et bienveillant.
