He is a loving young dog who enjoys cuddling and seeking proximity. On walks, he runs well on a leash. With other dogs, he shows a social and playful side. Podencos have a wonderful character. They are funny, sensitive, and like to bond closely with their people. In the house, they are usually quiet, relaxed, and often lie lazily like a cat on the sofa, basking in the sun. Outdoors, Podencos are active and full of energy—often paired with a healthy dose of independence. Physical as well as mental exertion is important. Additionally, it strengthens the bond between human and dog. It should be noted that every shelter dog, especially considering its past, brings its own story. Therefore, we can never predict exactly how the dog will develop and react to living in Germany with you. Zulu can travel to a foster or permanent placement.

Geschlecht: männlich/kastriert Alter: geb. 16.07.2024 Standort: Shelter/Portugal Verträglichkeit: Rüden & Weibchen Zulu, ein wunderschöner Podenco mit rehbraunen Augen und einem tollen Charakter, der auf der Suche nach seinem neuen Zuhause ist. Er ist ein liebevoller junger Hund, der gerne kuschelt und die Nähe sucht. Bei Spaziergängen läuft er gut an der Leine. Mit anderen Hunden zeigt er sich sozial und verspielt. Podenco´s haben einen wundervollen Charakter. Sie sind lustig, sensibel und binden sich gerne eng an ihre Menschen. Im Haus sind sie meistens ruhig, entspannt und liegen schonmal gerne faul wie eine Katze auf dem Sofa und sind Sonnenanbeter. Draußen sind Podenco´s bewegungsfreundlich und energiegeladen – oft gepaart mit einer ordentlichen Portion Selbstständigkeit. Körperliche sowie aber auch mentale Auslastung sind wichtig. Zudem stärkt es die Bindung zwischen Mensch und Hund. Anzumerken ist, dass jeder Tierschutzhund, gerade auch im Hinblick auf seine Vergangenheit, seine eigene Geschichte mitbringt.
