Zuri

Male · Adult · 4 years

We do not know their past. We have taken in these three abandoned siblings; they were very thin and suffering from hunger. One of them had an accident at the shelter and had to be amputated of a paw, which allowed for his adoption a few months ago. Zuri, brother of Daby, is a young male Pointer, the same age, who is also waiting for his family for life. Arriving very young at the shelter, Zuri grew up surrounded by other dogs and developed an excellent social behavior. Zuri is: a young and full of potential beautiful, slender, and elegant dog, true to his breed, intelligent, attentive, and curious, loving to share nice walks with the volunteers. Zuri is looking for a loving family, ready to give him time, attention, and beautiful walks, so that he can continue to flourish and create a real bond of trust. He deserves a warm home where he can finally lay his paws and be loved as he deserves. Does Zuri interest you? Fill out the adoption application (without commitment), an association delegate will contact you quickly: Adoption fee: 315 € Contact: - Zuri is under contract with the association GALGOS FRANCE. About Zuri

What life with Zuri looks like

Zuri is a large adult dog waiting at 30 Millions d'Amis in Paris.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Zuri, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Zuri?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. 30 Millions d'Amis handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Zuri on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Zuri if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — 30 Millions d'Amis will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Zuri already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Zuri isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with 30 Millions d'Amis early rather than rehoming privately; they know Zuri and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
