Adopt Zurückhaltender Willy

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 1 year

Unfortunately, there are always unreliable providers who want to make money through fraud. That's why it's important to carefully check the animal listing and the seller. Here are some signs that should make you suspicious: Useful information for a safe purchase of a foster home in Spain: Refugio Amposta Willy, male, travels neutered, born around 01.03.2023, mixed breed, height around 36 cm / weight around 10 kg. From Perrera in Vinaros, Willy came to the shelter with his buddy Kiwi on March 22, 2026. Monika took in the reserved Willy. We don't know much about his past, but it seems he hasn't had many experiences with people yet. In new situations, Willy is more shy, a bit suspicious, and needs time to open up. Occasionally, he might growl at the unfamiliar, but this soon passes. Willy mostly prefers to observe new people from a distance, but he is always friendly and can be easily handled. The little man hasn't had much movement, which can be seen in his weight. Willy gets along very well with his fellow animals. Anais and Daniela got to know Willy during their visit and found him very sweet.

About Zurückhaltender Willy

What life with Zurückhaltender Willy looks like

Zurückhaltender Willy is a small young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Petsearch.ch in Zurich.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Zurückhaltender Willy, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Zurückhaltender Willy?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Petsearch.ch handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Zurückhaltender Willy on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Zurückhaltender Willy if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Petsearch.ch will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Zurückhaltender Willy already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Zurückhaltender Willy isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Petsearch.ch early rather than rehoming privately; they know Zurückhaltender Willy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
