Zurückhaltendere Kitten

European Shorthair · Female · Kitten

Our 2026 litter kittens are sometimes a bit more reserved and cautious. They need a little more time to arrive, gain trust and get to know their new people. They are no less lovable - quite the opposite! Behind the initial reserve are wonderful, playful and curious cats that can gradually thaw and develop a very special bond with their humans with patience and calmness. We are looking for a quiet home for these kittens with patient people who give them the time they need. A lot of hustle and bustle, noise or a hectic household would overwhelm them. A quieter home where they can arrive at their own pace would be ideal. 🐱 They don't want to be alone: Our reserved kittens are paired or paired with a peer, social and confident cat. This way they have a suitable playmate and cuddle buddy and can play, play and discover the world together. Who has a big heart for the slightly more cautious cat kids and gives them the time to arrive in peace and develop trust? Please fill out the interested party form via Cat Request. In this way, all the information relevant for mediation is directly available to us for an initial conversation.

About Zurückhaltendere Kitten

What life with Zurückhaltendere Kitten looks like

Zurückhaltendere Kitten is a large puppy/kitten european shorthair cat waiting at Tierheim Ludwigshafen in Ludwigshafen/Rheim.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Zurückhaltendere Kitten, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Zurückhaltendere Kitten?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Ludwigshafen handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Zurückhaltendere Kitten on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Zurückhaltendere Kitten if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Ludwigshafen will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Zurückhaltendere Kitten already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Zurückhaltendere Kitten isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Ludwigshafen early rather than rehoming privately; they know Zurückhaltendere Kitten and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
