Nala je zlato s trochou zdržanlivosti, ale připně se k lidem docela rychle a nemělo by jí trvat dlouho, než vytvoří spojení s novou rodinou. Je trochu přehozená, pokud je kolem ní hodně činu, ale v klidných oblastech ráda prohledává a je mnohem klidnější. Ráda si dělá pohodlí a bude tisknout své rameno, abyste ji mohli objít! Nala má ráda chutné oblíbenky, zejména sýr, a to je skvělý způsob, jak začít s ní trénink, aby si získala více sebevědomí. Už dobře rozumí základnímu tréninku a zná několik příkazů a triků. Další trénink by pomohl posílit spojení s jejími přijímači, ale v domě musí být od prvního dne stanoveny hranice. Nala by neměla být na postele nebo pohovkách, protože se nestarala o to, že by lidé sdíleli tento prostor s ní. Měla by mít v domě své bezpečné a pohodlné místo, kam by mohla být zanechána. Pes je v pořádku bez přístupu k pohovce! Nala neměla mnoho pozitivních interakcí s dalšími psy ve svém dětství a to ji nechalo opatrnou k ostatním. Může projít blízko nich, pokud jsou postupně a vhodně zavedeny, ale neměly by být nuceny do tváří proti sobě, protože to jí vůbec nepomůže. Nala vyžaduje domov bez dalších zvířat a pouze dospělé. Je domácí a i když potřebuje, aby s ní někdo byl většinu dne na začátku, poté, co se osadí, může být nechat samotnou na několik hodin bez obav. Je to nervózní holka, které bude potřebovat rodinu, která bude trávit čas s ní během několika návštěv ve středisku.

Meet Nala! The biggest, brightest smile in the centre and she does a great job of putting smiles on her carers faces also, with her cheekiness and loving nature, and especially her fondness for playing with water! She’s a big, beautiful dog, a long-term resident whom we adore, and she’s looking for a calm and committed home with a family that will take the time getting to know her. Nala loves hard and we guarantee that if you give her the time, she will love you just as much as she loves the team at the centre. She’s very confident and knows what she wants and how to get it! In fact, Nala absolutely thrives when allowed to make her own choices, such as when she does and does want attention, and she has fantastic communication skills if she’s paid attention to. Nala can sometimes be vocal around other dogs and may bark at unfamiliar people or dogs when out and about. However, with careful and gradual introductions, she has shown that she can walk nicely alongside calm dogs, but she is muzzled. She will need a home that can offer quiet walking areas and she travels brilliantly in a vehicle so she can be taken to these places if necessary. We are hoping to find a dedicated home that is happy to follow guidance and advice from the centre, and who are excited about taking on a project dog. With the right support and boundaries, Nala has so much potential to grow and truly flourish into a wonderful companion. Nala is looking for an adult home where she can be the only pet. She’s perfectly house trained and settles well once she feels comfortable, and can be left alone for a few hours when she’s at that point. Nala has shown us that she can open doors so this is where her family may have to make some changes to handles in the home to prevent any adventuring! She will need multiple meets with her adopters before going home so she can feel confident when she leaves our care.
