Trinity je středně velký kříženec ve věku přibližně dva až tři roky. Ještě nebyl testován. Bude jednodušší jako jediný pes. Ostražitá k některým mužům. Preferované domácnosti s ženami. Děti nad 12 let. Setkala jsem se s Trinitiy během cesty do rumunského záchranného centra v říjnu minulý rok. Žila venku na ulici spolu s několika dalšími psy a byla těhotná, bohužel ne poprvé. Když zachránce ji chytil u bran záchranného centra, zeptal se, jestli bychom ji vzali, a samozřejmě jsme souhlasili. Bohužel sousedství nebylo laskavé k psům na této ulici a házeli na ně kameny, aby je vyhnali, protože je nechtěli kolem sebe. Důsledkem toho je Trinity velmi ostražitá k mužům a začne na ně štěkat. S časem může naučit důvěřovat konkrétním mužům, ale bohužel nemůžeme tyto vzpomínky zcela smazat. Ideálně by byla nejlepší domácnost s ženami, ale velmi trpělivý a pochopenlivý muž by mohl postupně získat její důvěru. Je to jen štěkání, podobá se tomu, že se snaží varovat ostatní, že je někdo muž poblíž a měli by být strach, ostatní ignorují a pokračují v dnu lol. Trinity žije teď s mnoha dalšími psy a většinou je v pořádku. Může být trochu závidělivá ohledně jídla a pozornosti, takže možná by domácnost jako jediný pes byla jednodušší. Podmínky pro adopci Při adopci psa od Safe Rescue musíte použít pohyblivý řetěz. To vás ochrání: váš nový pes bude nervózní a nebude vám důvěřovat, a nebudete vědět, které situace by mohly vašeho psa rozrušit. Pokud se pes vystraší, pak je pohyblivý řetěz jediný způsob, jak zabránit utečení vašeho psa (mnoho psů může uniknout z krku a/nebo pásu). Bude trvat nejméně 3–6 měsíců, než se pes usadí a vy ho znáte plně (déle pro nervózní psy). Pohyblivý řetěz musí být vždy použit během období usazení. I poté, co se pes usadí, je nejbezpečnější použít pohyblivý řetěz v situacích, kde by mohl pes být vystrašen (např. návštěva nových míst, okolo neznámých lidí, u veterináře), a v situacích, kde mohou nastat neočekávané aktivační faktory (např. kolem svátku ohňů). Nervózní psi mohou vždy nosit pohyblivý řetěz jako záložní bezpečnostní opatření. Pohyblivý řetěz je bezpečnostní zařízení a nikdy nesmí být používán jako pomůcka pro trénink. Použití řetězu k aplikaci tlaku na hrdlo psa je škodlivé. Pokud pes tahejí řetěz, můžeme vám poradit s metodami tréninku, které vylučují škodu. Jakmile se pes usadí, můžete zvážit použití pásu (společně s pohyblivým řetězem), pokud pes je komfortní s manipulací, když je nasazen. Většina pásů není unikací odolná, ale pásy se řemenem za žebrami (např. Ruffwear Webmaster nebo Perfect Fit pásy) jsou bezpečnější. Retraktabilní / rozšiřitelné řetězy nesmí být použity na naše psy. Adopce psa musí být sbírána z útulku a dopravena přímo domů v bezpečné ocelové bedně. Oplotění a brány musí mít minimálně výšku 5 stop a být bezpečné. Trinity is a medium sized crossbreed aged around two to three years old. Not yet tested. Would be easier as an only dog. Wary of some men. Female home preferred. Children 12 plus I met Trinity during a trip to a Romanian shelter back in October last year. She was living outside on the street along with a few other dogs and was pregnant, not for the first time sadly. When the rescuer captured her inside the gates of the shelter she asked if we would take her and of course we agreed. Unfortunately the neighbourhood were not kind to the dogs in that street and would throw rocks at them to chase them away as they didn’t want them around. As a result of this Trinity is extremely wary of men and will bark at them. In time she can learn to trust individual men but we sadly cannot erase these memories altogether. Ideally an all female home would be best but a very patient and understanding man could win her trust over time. It is only barking, it’s like she’s trying to warn the others that there’s a man around and they should be scared, the others ignore her and carry on with their day lol. Trinity is currently living with many other dogs and for the most part is ok. She can be a little jealous over food and fuss though so maybe a home as the only dog would be easier. She would need a home with no children under the age of twelve. Trinity walks nicely on a lead and is loving her new domestic life. Trinity fostered Norwich Norfolk. This will keep your dog safe: your new dog will be nervous and will not trust you, and you will not know which situations might upset your dog. If your dog panics, then a slip lead is the only way to prevent your dog from escaping (many dogs can escape from a collar and/or harness). It will take AT LEAST 3-6 months for your dog to settle-in and for you to know your dog fully (longer for nervous dogs). The slip lead must ALWAYS be used during this settling-in period. Even after your dog is settled, it is safest to use the slip lead in situations where your dog may become scared (e.g. visiting new places, around unfamiliar people, at the vet), and it situations where unexpected triggers might happen (e.g. around bonfire night). Nervous dogs may always need to wear a slip-lead as a back-up safety measure. The slip lead is a safety device and must NEVER be used as a training tool. Using the lead to apply pressure to the dog’s neck is damaging. If your dog pulls on the lead, then we can advise you on training methods that avoid harm. Once your dog is settled, you may want to consider using a harness (together with the slip lead) if your dog is comfortable with being handled when it is fitted. Most harnesses are not escape-proof, but harnesses with a strap behind the ribcage (e.g. Ruffwear Webmaster or Perfect Fit Harnesses) are safer. Retractable / extendable leads must never be used on our dogs. Adopted dogs must be collected from the rescue and transported straight home in a secure metal crate.
