Trinity è un incrocio di media taglia con età di circa due o tre anni. Non ancora testata. Sarebbe più facile come cane unico. Distrustosa verso alcuni uomini. Casa preferibilmente femminile. Bambini 12 anni e superiori. Ho incontrato Trinity durante un viaggio in un rifugio romeno nel mese di ottobre dell'anno scorso. Era viva all'esterno per strada insieme ad alcuni altri cani ed era incinta, non per la prima volta purtroppo. Quando il salvatore l'ha catturata all'interno dei cancelli del rifugio ha chiesto se volessimo prenderla e ovviamente abbiamo accettato. Purtroppo i vicini non erano gentili con i cani in quella strada e lanciavano pietre per scacciarli perché non volevano che fossero intorno. A causa di questo Trinity è estremamente diffidente verso gli uomini e li abbaia. Con il tempo può imparare a fidarsi di singoli uomini ma purtroppo non possiamo cancellare questi ricordi. Ideale una casa esclusivamente femminile ma un uomo molto paziente e comprensivo potrebbe guadagnare la sua fiducia con il tempo. È solo l'abbaiare, sembra che stia cercando di avvisare gli altri che c'è un uomo in giro e che dovrebbero aver paura, gli altri ignorano e proseguono con la loro giornata lol. Trinity vive attualmente con molti altri cani e in gran parte va bene. Può essere un po' gelosa per il cibo e le attenzioni, quindi forse una casa con un solo cane sarebbe più facile. Avrà bisogno di una casa senza bambini sotto i dodici anni. Trinity cammina bene al guinzaglio e ama la sua nuova vita domestica. Trinity è stata in affidamento a Norwich Norfolk. Se sei interessato, invia un messaggio o chiama tra le 9:00 e le 17:00 dal lunedì al venerdì o tra le 9:00 e le 16:00 sabato. Le quote di adozione sono: Cuccioli già sterilizzati e tutti i cani adulti: £430. Cuccioli non sterilizzati su contratti di sterilizzazione: £530 (riceverai un rimborso di £100 una volta inviata la prova della sterilizzazione). Cani anziani (10+ anni): £150–£250 (a seconda dell'età e delle esigenze individuali). Condizioni e termini di adozione Quando adotti un cane di Safe Rescue, DEVI utilizzare un guinzaglio a scatto. Questo terrà il tuo cane al sicuro: il tuo nuovo cane sarà nervoso e non ti farà fiducia, e non saprai quali situazioni potrebbero metterlo in agitazione. Se il tuo cane si spaventa, allora un guinzaglio a scatto è l'unica via per impedirgli di scappare (molti cani possono evadere da collari e/o marsupi). Ci vorranno ALMENO 3-6 mesi per permettere al tuo cane di ambientarsi e per conoscere pienamente il tuo cane (più a lungo per cani ansiosi). Il guinzaglio a scatto deve SEMPRE essere utilizzato durante il periodo di ambientamento. Anche dopo che il tuo cane si è ambientato, è più sicuro utilizzare il guinzaglio a scatto nelle situazioni in cui il tuo cane potrebbe spaventarsi (es. visitare posti nuovi, intorno a persone sconosciute, dal veterinario), e in situazioni in cui potrebbero verificarsi trigger imprevisti (es. intorno alla notte di fuochi d'artificio). I cani ansiosi potrebbero dover indossare sempre un guinzaglio a scatto come misura di sicurezza aggiuntiva. Il guinzaglio a scatto è un dispositivo di sicurezza e mai deve essere utilizzato come strumento di addestramento. Usare il guinzaglio per applicare pressione sul collo del cane è dannoso. Se il tuo cane tira il guinzaglio, ti possiamo consigliare metodi di addestramento che evitino danni. Una volta che il tuo cane si è ambientato, potresti considerare di usare una pettorina (insieme al guinzaglio a scatto) se il cane è a suo agio quando viene messa. La maggior parte delle pettorine non sono anti-scappatura, ma quelle con una cingia dietro le costole (es. Ruffwear Webmaster o Pet Fit Harnesses) sono più sicure. I guinzagli retrattili / estensibili non devono mai essere utilizzati sui nostri cani. Trinity is a medium sized crossbreed aged around two to three years old. Not yet tested. Would be easier as an only dog. Wary of some men. Female home preferred. Children 12 plus I met Trinity during a trip to a Romanian shelter back in October last year. She was living outside on the street along with a few other dogs and was pregnant, not for the first time sadly. When the rescuer captured her inside the gates of the shelter she asked if we would take her and of course we agreed. Unfortunately the neighbourhood were not kind to the dogs in that street and would throw rocks at them to chase them away as they didn’t want them around. As a result of this Trinity is extremely wary of men and will bark at them. In time she can learn to trust individual men but we sadly cannot erase these memories altogether. Ideally an all female home would be best but a very patient and understanding man could win her trust over time. It is only barking, it’s like she’s trying to warn the others that there’s a man around and they should be scared, the others ignore her and carry on with their day lol. Trinity is currently living with many other dogs and for the most part is ok. She can be a little jealous over food and fuss though so maybe a home as the only dog would be easier. She would need a home with no children under the age of twelve. Trinity walks nicely on a lead and is loving her new domestic life. Trinity fostered Norwich Norfolk. Adoption Terms & Conditions When you adopt a Safe Rescue dog, you MUST use a slip lead. This will keep your dog safe: your new dog will be nervous and will not trust you, and you will not know which situations might upset your dog. If your dog panics, then a slip lead is the only way to prevent your dog from escaping (many dogs can escape from a collar and/or harness). It will take AT LEAST 3-6 months for your dog to settle-in and for you to know your dog fully (longer for nervous dogs). The slip lead must ALWAYS be used during this settling-in period. Even after your dog is settled, it is safest to use the slip lead in situations where your dog may become scared (e.g. visiting new places, around unfamiliar people, at the vet), and it situations where unexpected triggers might happen (e.g. around bonfire night). Nervous dogs may always need to wear a slip-lead as a back-up safety measure. The slip lead is a safety device and must NEVER be used as a training tool. Using the lead to apply pressure to the dog’s neck is damaging. If your dog pulls on the lead, then we can advise you on training methods that avoid harm. Once your dog is settled, you may want to consider using a harness (together with the slip lead) if your dog is comfortable with being handled when it is fitted. Most harnesses are not escape-proof, but harnesses with a strap behind the ribcage (e.g. Ruffwear Webmaster or Perfect Fit Harnesses) are safer. Retractable / extendable leads must never be used on our dogs. Adopted dogs must be collected from the rescue and transported straight home in a secure metal crate.
