Hugo er en flot enårig Akita-Border Collie-krydsning, der for tiden er i vores omsorg gennem vores Homestay-sæt. Som en ung, livlig hund er han fuld af entusiasme for livet og lærer nye færdigheder hver dag. Med fortsat træning vil han sikkert blive endnu bedre. Hugo er en stor, kærlig blødsejler, der elsker mennesker, legetøj, spil og masse klem. Han har en spansk, nysgerrig natur og elsker at udforske sin omgivelser. Han er et ivrigt, socialt samfund, der vil blomstre med rolig, konsekvent vejledning og en familie, der elsker positiv træning og er engageret i ham. Han bygger stadig tillid til at være alene, så han vil have et hjem, hvor man er borte i kortere perioder i starten, sammen med en forsigtig, struktureret plan for at hjælpe ham med at udvikle selvstændighed på egen tempo. Hugo rejser godt og sætter sig pænt i bilen. Mens han måske starter lidt opmærksom, falder han hurtigt ned og kan nyde turen bekvemt. Hugo vil sandt vise sit bedste i et roligt til moderat aktive hjem, hvor han kan nyde faste rutiner og et fredeligt miljø. Han kan leve i et husstand med ældre unge voksne eller voksne. Hugo bor for tiden med ældre børn og interagerer respektfuldt med dem. Fordi han er en levendegørende, glade ung, der udtrykker sin glæde ved at hoppe og lave lyde, leder han efter et hjem uden meget små børn. For at hjælpe Hugo med at sætte sig bekvemt, vil et hjem med få besøgende - især i starten - understøtte hans tillid og hindre ham i at blive for opspændt. Hugo er en flot venlig og kærlig ung hund med en stor personlighed. Han lærer stadig at håndtere alle sine følelser, især når han møder nye mennesker, udforsker nye steder eller møder andre hunde. Han søger et engageret, positivt hjem, der elsker træning og er klar til at hjælpe ham med at fortsætte udviklingen af løsrevet gang, hilsner og fokus og ro. Hugo skal være den eneste hund i sit nye hjem. Han har haft begrænsede sociale oplevelser med andre hunde og kan blive meget begejstret og frustreret, når han ser dem tæt på. Med tålmodig vejledning og fortsat træning får han mulighed for at udvikle bedre hund-til-hund-færdigheder over tid.

Hugo is a handsome one-year-old Akita–Border Collie cross looking for his forever home through our Homestay scheme. This young boy is full of life, love, and personality. At just one year old, Hugo is still learning about the world and developing new skills every day. He's a bright, eager dog who has already made great progress and will continue to flourish with patient, positive guidance. Hugo is a big, affectionate softie who absolutely loves being with his people. Whether it's playing with his favourite toys, enjoying a game in the garden, exploring on a walk, or curling up for cuddles afterwards, he's happiest when he's included in family life. He has a playful, curious nature and is always keen to see what adventure comes next. Hugo is looking for a home that will enjoy continuing his training and helping him channel his enthusiasm into calm, confident behaviours. He's a clever dog who responds well to reward-based training and loves having something to learn. He's also still building confidence with spending time on his own, so he'll need a home where leaving hours are kept very low to begin with. With a gentle, structured approach, Hugo can gradually learn that being alone is nothing to worry about. Hugo travels well in the car and settles down nicely once he's on the move. He may be a little alert when a journey begins, but he quickly relaxes and is happy to enjoy the ride. Hugo is a friendly, affectionate young dog with a huge heart and an even bigger personality. He loves being around his people and is full of enthusiasm for life. Like many young dogs, he's still learning how to manage his excitement and emotions, so he's looking for a family who will enjoy continuing his training and helping him grow into the brilliant companion he's destined to be. Hugo would thrive in a calm to moderately active home where he can enjoy a consistent routine and plenty of time with his favourite humans. He currently lives with older children and is gentle and respectful with them, so he could happily live with sensible secondary school-aged children or in an adult-only home. Because he gets so excited when greeting people, he can be a little bouncy and vocal, so a home without very young children would suit him best. A quieter household with fewer visitors, especially while he's settling in, will help Hugo feel relaxed and prevent him from becoming overwhelmed. Hugo is a clever boy who is eager to learn. He's already making progress with his training and is looking for adopters who will continue building his confidence, loose-lead walking, calm greetings, and focus using positive, reward-based methods. Hugo will need to be the only dog in his new home. He hasn't had many positive social experiences with other dogs and can become overexcited and frustrated when he sees them. With patient, ongoing training, he has every opportunity to continue improving his dog skills while enjoying life as the centre of attention at home.
