Hugo er en flott en-årig Akita–Border Collie-kryss som for tiden er i vår omsorg gjennom vår Homestay-skjema. Som en ung, livlig hund er han full av entusiasme for livet og lærer nye ferdigheter hver dag. Med kontinuerlig trening vil han sikkert bli enda mer utviklet. Hugo er en stor, kjærlig bløtsegg som elsker mennesker, leketøy, spill og mye klem. Han har en spissfink, nysgjerrig natur og elsker å utforske omgivelsene sine. Han er en vilig, sosial kompanjong som vil gjøre det bra med rolig, konsekvent veiledning og en familie som liker positiv trening og å være engasjert med ham. Han bygger fortsatt selvtilliten til å være alene, så han trenger et hjem hvor opphold utenfor er initialt veldig lavt, sammen med en mild, strukturert plan for å hjelpe ham å utvikle selvstendighet på egen hånd. Hugo reiser godt og setter seg fint i bilen. Selv om han kanskje starter litt oppmerksom, slapper han raskt av og kan nyte turen bekvemt. Hugo vil virkelig lyse opp i et rolig til moderat aktiv hjem der han kan nyte konstant rutiner og et fredfullt miljø. Han kan leve i et hus med eldre unge voksne eller voksne. Hugo bor for tiden med eldre barn og interagerer respektfullt med dem. Fordi han er en levende, entusiastisk ung gutt som uttrykker sin begeistring gjennom å hoppe og stemme, søker han et hjem uten svært små barn. For å hjelpe Hugo å føle seg behagelig, vil et hjem med færre besøkende – spesielt i starten – støtte hans tillit og hindre at han blir for opprørt. Hugo er en fantastisk venlig og kjærlig ung hund med en stor personlighet. Han lærer fortsatt å håndtere alle sine følelser, spesielt når han møter nye mennesker, utforsker nye steder eller møter andre hunder. Han søker etter et engasjert, positivt hjem som liker trening og er klart til å hjelpe ham fortsette å utvikle hans løpeledning, hilsningsmåter, fokus og ro. Hugo må være den eneste hunden i sitt nye hjem. Han har fått begrenset sosial erfaring med andre hunder og kan bli svært entusiastisk og frustrert når han ser dem nær. Med tålmodig veiledning og kontinuerlig trening får han sjansen til å bygge bedre hund-till-hund-ferdigheter over tid.

Hugo is a handsome one-year-old Akita–Border Collie cross looking for his forever home through our Homestay scheme. This young boy is full of life, love, and personality. At just one year old, Hugo is still learning about the world and developing new skills every day. He's a bright, eager dog who has already made great progress and will continue to flourish with patient, positive guidance. Hugo is a big, affectionate softie who absolutely loves being with his people. Whether it's playing with his favourite toys, enjoying a game in the garden, exploring on a walk, or curling up for cuddles afterwards, he's happiest when he's included in family life. He has a playful, curious nature and is always keen to see what adventure comes next. Hugo is looking for a home that will enjoy continuing his training and helping him channel his enthusiasm into calm, confident behaviours. He's a clever dog who responds well to reward-based training and loves having something to learn. He's also still building confidence with spending time on his own, so he'll need a home where leaving hours are kept very low to begin with. With a gentle, structured approach, Hugo can gradually learn that being alone is nothing to worry about. Hugo travels well in the car and settles down nicely once he's on the move. He may be a little alert when a journey begins, but he quickly relaxes and is happy to enjoy the ride. Hugo is a friendly, affectionate young dog with a huge heart and an even bigger personality. He loves being around his people and is full of enthusiasm for life. Like many young dogs, he's still learning how to manage his excitement and emotions, so he's looking for a family who will enjoy continuing his training and helping him grow into the brilliant companion he's destined to be. Hugo would thrive in a calm to moderately active home where he can enjoy a consistent routine and plenty of time with his favourite humans. He currently lives with older children and is gentle and respectful with them, so he could happily live with sensible secondary school-aged children or in an adult-only home. Because he gets so excited when greeting people, he can be a little bouncy and vocal, so a home without very young children would suit him best. A quieter household with fewer visitors, especially while he's settling in, will help Hugo feel relaxed and prevent him from becoming overwhelmed. Hugo is a clever boy who is eager to learn. He's already making progress with his training and is looking for adopters who will continue building his confidence, loose-lead walking, calm greetings, and focus using positive, reward-based methods. Hugo will need to be the only dog in his new home. He hasn't had many positive social experiences with other dogs and can become overexcited and frustrated when he sees them. With patient, ongoing training, he has every opportunity to continue improving his dog skills while enjoying life as the centre of attention at home.
