Hugo es un Akita–Border Collie de un año de edad que actualmente está en nuestro cuidado a través de nuestro programa de acogida. Como perro joven y activo, está lleno de entusiasmo por la vida y está aprendiendo nuevas habilidades cada día. Con capacitación continua, seguramente podrá desarrollarse aún más. Hugo es un perro grande, cariñoso y tierno, que ama a las personas, juguetes, juegos y muchas caricias. Tiene una naturaleza juguetona e inquieta y le encanta explorar su entorno. Es un compañero sociable y dispuesto a aprender que prosperará con guía tranquila y constante y una familia que disfrute del entrenamiento positivo y mantenerse involucrada con él. Aún está construyendo confianza cuando pasa tiempo solo, por lo tanto necesitará un hogar donde las horas de soledad sean inicialmente muy bajas, junto con un plan suave y estructurado para ayudarlo a desarrollar independencia a su propio ritmo. Hugo viaja bien y se adapta fácilmente al auto. Aunque puede empezar un poco alerta, se relaja rápidamente y puede disfrutar del viaje cómodamente. Hugo brillará verdaderamente en un hogar tranquilo o moderadamente activo donde pueda disfrutar de rutinas consistentes y un ambiente pacífico. Podría vivir en un hogar con adolescentes mayores o adultos. Hugo actualmente vive con niños mayores y se relaciona con ellos respetuosamente. Debido a que es un joven vivo y entusiasta que expresa su emoción saltando y vocalizando, busca un hogar sin niños muy pequeños. Para ayudar a Hugo a adaptarse cómodamente, un hogar con menos visitas, especialmente al principio, apoyará su confianza y evitará que se excite demasiado. Hugo es un perro joven amigable y cariñoso con un gran carácter. Aún está aprendiendo a manejar todas sus emociones, particularmente cuando conoce a nuevas personas, explora lugares nuevos o se encuentra con otros perros. Busca un hogar comprometido y positivo que disfrute del entrenamiento y esté listo para ayudarlo a continuar desarrollando su caminata con correa suelta, modales al saludar, concentración y calma. Hugo necesitará ser el único perro en su nuevo hogar. Ha tenido experiencias sociales limitadas con otros perros y puede volverse muy entusiasmado y frustrado al verlos de cerca. Con guía paciente y capacitación continua, tendrá la oportunidad de mejorar sus habilidades para interactuar con otros perros con el tiempo.

Hugo is a wonderful one-year-old Akita–Border Collie cross who is currently in our care through our Homestay scheme. As a young, lively dog, he’s full of enthusiasm for life and is learning new skills every day. With ongoing training, he’s sure to flourish even further. Hugo is a big, affectionate softie who adores people, toys, games and plenty of cuddles. He has a playful, inquisitive nature and loves exploring his surroundings. He’s an eager, social companion who will thrive with calm, consistent guidance and a family who enjoys positive training and staying engaged with him. He is still building confidence with spending time alone, so he’ll need a home where leaving hours are initially very low, alongside a gentle, structured plan to help him develop independence at his own pace. Hugo travels well and settles nicely in the car. While he may start out a little alert, he quickly relaxes and is able to enjoy the journey comfortably. Hugo will truly shine in a calm to moderately active home where he can enjoy consistent routines and a peaceful environment. He could live in a household with older teenagers, or adults. Hugo currently lives with older children and interacts with them respectfully. Because he’s a lively, enthusiastic youngster who expresses his excitement through jumping and vocalising, he’s looking for a home without very young children. To help Hugo settle comfortably, a home with fewer visitors—especially at first—will support his confidence and prevent him from becoming overly excited. Hugo is a wonderfully friendly and affectionate young dog with a big personality. He’s still learning how to manage all his emotions, particularly when meeting new people, exploring new places, or encountering other dogs. He’s seeking a committed, positive home that enjoys training and is ready to help him continue developing his loose‑lead walking, greeting manners, focus and calmness. Hugo will need to be the only dog in his new home. He has had limited social experiences with other dogs and can become very enthusiastic and frustrated when seeing them up close. With patient guidance and ongoing training, he’ll have the chance to build better dog‑to‑dog skills over time.
