Hugo es un Akita–Border Collie de un año de edad que actualmente está en nuestro cuidado a través de nuestro programa de acogida. Como perro joven y activo, está lleno de entusiasmo por la vida y está aprendiendo nuevas habilidades cada día. Con capacitación continua, seguramente podrá desarrollarse aún más. Hugo es un perro grande, cariñoso y tierno, que ama a las personas, juguetes, juegos y muchas caricias. Tiene una naturaleza juguetona e inquieta y le encanta explorar su entorno. Es un compañero sociable y dispuesto a aprender que prosperará con guía tranquila y constante y una familia que disfrute del entrenamiento positivo y mantenerse involucrada con él. Aún está construyendo confianza cuando pasa tiempo solo, por lo tanto necesitará un hogar donde las horas de soledad sean inicialmente muy bajas, junto con un plan suave y estructurado para ayudarlo a desarrollar independencia a su propio ritmo. Hugo viaja bien y se adapta fácilmente al auto. Aunque puede empezar un poco alerta, se relaja rápidamente y puede disfrutar del viaje cómodamente. Hugo brillará verdaderamente en un hogar tranquilo o moderadamente activo donde pueda disfrutar de rutinas consistentes y un ambiente pacífico. Podría vivir en un hogar con adolescentes mayores o adultos. Hugo actualmente vive con niños mayores y se relaciona con ellos respetuosamente. Debido a que es un joven vivo y entusiasta que expresa su emoción saltando y vocalizando, busca un hogar sin niños muy pequeños. Para ayudar a Hugo a adaptarse cómodamente, un hogar con menos visitas, especialmente al principio, apoyará su confianza y evitará que se excite demasiado. Hugo es un perro joven amigable y cariñoso con un gran carácter. Hugo is a handsome one-year-old Akita–Border Collie cross looking for his forever home through our Homestay scheme. This young boy is full of life, love, and personality. At just one year old, Hugo is still learning about the world and developing new skills every day. He's a bright, eager dog who has already made great progress and will continue to flourish with patient, positive guidance. Hugo is a big, affectionate softie who absolutely loves being with his people. Whether it's playing with his favourite toys, enjoying a game in the garden, exploring on a walk, or curling up for cuddles afterwards, he's happiest when he's included in family life. He has a playful, curious nature and is always keen to see what adventure comes next. Hugo is looking for a home that will enjoy continuing his training and helping him channel his enthusiasm into calm, confident behaviours. He's a clever dog who responds well to reward-based training and loves having something to learn. He's also still building confidence with spending time on his own, so he'll need a home where leaving hours are kept very low to begin with. With a gentle, structured approach, Hugo can gradually learn that being alone is nothing to worry about. Hugo travels well in the car and settles down nicely once he's on the move. He may be a little alert when a journey begins, but he quickly relaxes and is happy to enjoy the ride. Hugo is a friendly, affectionate young dog with a huge heart and an even bigger personality. He loves being around his people and is full of enthusiasm for life. Like many young dogs, he's still learning how to manage his excitement and emotions, so he's looking for a family who will enjoy continuing his training and helping him grow into the brilliant companion he's destined to be. Hugo would thrive in a calm to moderately active home where he can enjoy a consistent routine and plenty of time with his favourite humans. He currently lives with older children and is gentle and respectful with them, so he could happily live with sensible secondary school-aged children or in an adult-only home. Because he gets so excited when greeting people, he can be a little bouncy and vocal, so a home without very young children would suit him best. A quieter household with fewer visitors, especially while he's settling in, will help Hugo feel relaxed and prevent him from becoming overwhelmed. Hugo is a clever boy who is eager to learn. He's already making progress with his training and is looking for adopters who will continue building his confidence, loose-lead walking, calm greetings, and focus using positive, reward-based methods. Hugo will need to be the only dog in his new home. He hasn't had many positive social experiences with other dogs and can become overexcited and frustrated when he sees them. With patient, ongoing training, he has every opportunity to continue improving his dog skills while enjoying life as the centre of attention at home.
