Leon ville være mest passende som den eneste hund i hjemmet, fordi han kan føle sig i tvivl omkring andre hunde og måske blive intens, hvis de kommer for tæt eller "i hans ansigt." Derfor skal han holde på leder i offentligheden og behandles forsigtigt omkring andre hunde. Han vil have det godt med en erfaren ejer, helst nogen, der kender til Staffies, som forstår hans behov og kan give konsekvent vejledning og struktur. I det rette hjem er Leon en kærlig, levende kompanjon og en drøm for en Sandhund-elsker – fuld af sjov, kærlighed og karakter. Med den rigtige støtte og miljø vil han blive en flot og belønende tilføjelse til sin nye familie. Hjemkrav: Leon er en 4-årig, høje energi-pige, der udstråler personlighed og kærlighed. Han er selvsikker og spændt, når han møder nye mennesker, og elsker virkelig alle, han møder – især hvis det slutter med et kram! Leon elsker aktivitet og vil passe til et aktivt hjem, der kan give ham masse fysisk motion samt mentale udfordringer, da han absolut elsker sine legetøjer og at udforske nye steder. Han kan leve sammen med ældre børn i sekundært skolealder, der er bekvemme ved en buldrande hund. Leon vil have adoptører, der er til stede de fleste af dage i starten, fordi han ikke kan være alene fra starten og vil have tid og tålmodighed til at gradvist øge sine forladelses timer. Leon is looking for a home in a quiet location without too much passing footfall and traffic. He would be best suited as the only dog in the home, as he can feel conflicted around other dogs and may become intense if they get too close or “in his face.” He will need to be kept on lead in public and managed carefully around other dogs for this reason the team have started muzzle training with Leon and will work with his new family to continue this. Leon is a clever boy (he can even open doors) and really enjoys his training he loves the one on one time with his handlers. He would thrive with an experienced owner, ideally someone familiar with Staffies, who understands his needs and can provide consistent guidance and structure. In the right home, Leon is a loving, lively companion and a true Staffie lover’s dream—full of fun, affection, and character, but he also has a sensitive side and can be anxious around unfamiliar objects and noises. With the right support and environment, he will make a wonderful and rewarding addition to his new family. Leon is a 4-year-old, high-energy boy bursting with personality and affection. He’s confident and excitable when meeting new people and truly loves everyone he meets—especially if it ends with a cuddle! Leon thrives on activity and would suit an active home that can provide him with plenty of physical exercise as well as mental enrichment, as he absolutely adores his toys and exploring new places. Leon will need adopters who are around all the time, as he cannot be left alone right away and will need time and patience to gradually build up his leaving hours. He gets very distressed when left alone and is looking for a family that understand he needs time to decompress coming from kennels before training starts on leaving alone. A home with knowledge and experience of the breed would be beneficial. He is still working on housetraining and basic manners, so he’ll need a committed owner willing to continue his training journey. He can live with older, secondary school-aged children who are comfortable around boisterous dogs. Any new adopters will need to be committed to multiple meets and home visits.
