Λολα είναι μια ζωηρή, αγαπητή και ευαίσθητη κορίτσι που ψάχνει για ένα ήρεμο, κατανοητικό σπίτι όπου θα μπορεί να καταπιαστεί πραγματικά και να νιώσει ασφαλής. Αγαπά απολύτως την κοντινότητα με τα άτομα της και είναι ένα καλό σκυλί για το γόνατο στην καρδιά της. Είναι επίσης μια πραγματική χαρά να τη βγάλεις έξω. Η Λολα αγαπά τις βόλτες της και την εξερεύνηση του κόσμου με τους αγαπημένους της ανθρώπους. Η Λολα είναι διαβατικά εκπαιδευμένη και γενικά ταξιδεύει καλά στο αυτοκίνητο, αν και μπορεί να είναι αρκετά φωνητική όταν είναι ενθουσιασμένη για πού μπορεί να πάει! Η Λολα μπορεί να είναι λίγο θορυβώδης όταν είναι ενθουσιασμένη ή θυμωμένη γενικά, οπότε η νέα της οικογένεια θα πρέπει να είναι άνετη με ένα σκυλί που αγαπά να εκφράζει τον εαυτό της. Η Λολα αγαπά να μαθαίνει και είναι πάντα έτοιμη να συμμετάσχει σε προπονήσεις. Απαντά πολύ καλά στη θετική ενίσχυση (τα τρόφιμα είναι μεγάλη βοήθεια!) και νομίζουμε ότι θα αναπτυχθεί καλά σε δραστηριότητες όπως το αγωνιστικό άθλημα ή άλλα χαρούμενα παιχνίδια προπόνησης με τον ιδιοκτήτη της. Η Λολα αγαπά να παίζει με τα παιχνίδια όταν της κάνει την ώρα, ιδιαίτερα μικρά, μαλακά παιχνίδια. Θα καταλληλοποιεί ένα ενεργό σπίτι όπου θα μπορεί να απολαύσει τις βόλτες, τη νοητική εμπειρία και την έντονη αλληλεπίδραση. Η Λολα μπορεί να μείνει για σύντομες περιόδους μετά την εγκατάστασή της, γύρω στις 4-5 ώρες. Η Λολα δεν είχε την πιο σταθερή αρχή στη ζωή της, έχει ξαναμείνει σε πολλά σπίτια πριν έρθει σε εμάς, και μερικές φορές μπορεί να αισθάνεται αβεβαιότητα σε ορισμένες καταστάσεις. Μπορεί να είναι ευαίσθητη για το άγγιγμα, ιδιαίτερα γύρω από τον κρίκο της, όταν ηρεμεί και όταν είναι σε σκυλοκάθισμα. Έχει κάνει πολλή εκπαίδευση για το χειρισμό με επιλογή και όταν καταστεί πιο έμπιστη με τα άτομα της, γίνεται πολύ πιο άνετη και χαλαρή. Η Λολα έχει εκπαιδευτεί για τη χρήση του περιοριστή για ιατρικές επισκέψεις ως πρόσθετη προστασία. Η Λολα προτιμά να έχει το δικό της χώρο για να κοιμηθεί, με το κρεβάτι της σε ήρεμη περιοχή όπου δεν θα ενοχληθεί. Μπορεί να είναι λίγο προστατευτική για τα αντικείμενα της, ιδιαίτερα τα κουβέρτα, αλλά αυτό είναι συνήθως εύκολο να διαχειριστεί με την απλή τήρηση του χώρου της. Υπήρξαν περιπτώσεις στο παρελθόν όπου η Λολα ένιωσε άβολη σε καταστάσεις όπως αυτές που περιγράφονται παραπάνω και απάντησε με μια χαμηλής επιπέδου προειδοποιητική τραύμα, οπότε είναι σημαντικό να σ respeccτούνται τα όριά της. Lola is a bright, affectionate and sensitive girl who is looking for a calm, understanding home where she can truly settle and feel safe. She absolutely loves being close to her people and is a proper lap dog at heart. She’s also a genuine joy to take out and about. Lola enjoys her walks and exploring the world with her favourite humans. Lola is toilet trained and generally travels well in the car, although she can be quite vocal when she gets excited about where she might be going! Lola can be a bit noisy when she’s excited or frustrated generally, so her new family will need to be comfortable with a dog who likes to express herself. Lola absolutely loves learning and is always keen to engage in training. She responds really well to positive reinforcement (treats are a big help!) and we think she would thrive in activities like agility or other fun training games with her owner. Lola enjoys playing with toys when the mood strikes, particularly small, soft toys. She would suit an active home where she can enjoy walks, mental stimulation and plenty of interaction. Lola can be left for short periods once she has settled in, around 4–5 hours. Lola hasn’t had the most stable start in life, she has had several homes before coming to us, and she can sometimes feel unsure in certain situations. She can be sensitive about being touched, particularly around her collar, when she is resting and when she is being groomed. She has done a lot of training around choice-based handling and once she builds trust with her people, she becomes much more comfortable and relaxed. Lola is muzzle trained for veterinary visits as an extra safety precaution. Lola also prefers to have her own space for sleeping, with her bed in a quiet area where she won’t be disturbed. She can be a little protective of her belongings, especially blankets, but this is usually easy to manage by simply respecting her space. There have been occasions in the past where Lola has felt uncomfortable in situations like those described above and has responded with a low-level warning bite so it is important that her boundaries are respected. Lola does pull on the lead and is currently under going training for this. Around other dogs, Lola can occasionally feel worried by other dogs approaching, but she generally chooses to move away rather than engage. Because of her sensitivities, Lola is looking for an adult-only home with experienced, patient owners who understand that building trust takes time. She cannot live with cats. She may be able to live with a calm, well-matched dog after careful introductions and with appropriate management.
