Lola è una ragazza vivace, affettuosa e sensibile che cerca una casa tranquilla e comprensiva dove può veramente stabilirsi e sentirsi al sicuro. Adora stare vicino alle sue persone ed è un vero cane da grembo nel cuore. È anche una vera gioia portarla fuori. Lola ama le sue passeggiate e esplorare il mondo con i suoi umani preferiti. Lola è addestrata a fare la pipì e in genere viaggia bene in auto, anche se può essere abbastanza rumorosa quando si eccita per dove potrebbe andare! Lola può essere un po' rumorosa quando è eccitata o frustrata, quindi la sua nuova famiglia dovrà essere a proprio agio con un cane che vuole esprimersi. Lola adora imparare ed è sempre desiderosa di partecipare all'addestramento. Risponde molto bene al rinforzo positivo (le ricompense sono molto utili!) e pensiamo che possa brillare in attività come l'agility o altri divertenti giochi di addestramento con il suo proprietario. Lola gode del gioco con i giocattoli quando l'ispirazione lo richiede, specialmente giocattoli piccoli e morbidi. Si adatterebbe a una casa attiva dove può godere di passeggiate, stimolazione mentale e molte interazioni. Lola può restare sola per brevi periodi una volta che si è ambientata, circa 4-5 ore. Lola non ha avuto i migliori inizi nella vita, ha vissuto in diversi posti prima di venire da noi, e a volte può sentirsi incerta in certe situazioni. Può essere sensibile al tocco, specialmente intorno al collare, quando è a riposo e quando viene pettinata. Ha seguito un addestramento sul trattamento basato sulla scelta e una volta che costruisce fiducia con le persone, diventa molto più comoda e rilassata. Lola è addestrata a indossare il guinzaglio per le visite veterinarie come misura di sicurezza aggiuntiva. Lola preferisce avere il suo spazio per dormire, con il suo letto in un'area tranquilla dove non venga disturbata. Può essere un po' protettiva con le sue cose, specialmente con le coperte, ma questo è generalmente facile da gestire semplicemente rispettando il suo spazio. Ci sono state occasioni in passato in cui Lola si è sentita a disagio in situazioni come quelle descritte sopra e ha reagito con un morso di avvertimento a basso livello, quindi è importante che i suoi limiti siano rispettati. Lola tira il guinzaglio e sta attualmente ricevendo addestramento per questo. Intorno ad altri cani, Lola può occasionalmente sentirsi preoccupata se altri cani si avvicinano, ma generalmente sceglie di allontanarsi invece di impegnarsi. Per le sue sensibilità, Lola cerca una casa solo per adulti con proprietari esperti e pazienti che comprendono che costruire la fiducia richiede tempo. Non può vivere con i gatti. Lola is a bright, affectionate and sensitive girl who is looking for a calm, understanding home where she can truly settle and feel safe. She absolutely loves being close to her people and is a proper lap dog at heart. She’s also a genuine joy to take out and about. Lola enjoys her walks and exploring the world with her favourite humans. Lola is toilet trained and generally travels well in the car, although she can be quite vocal when she gets excited about where she might be going! Lola can be a bit noisy when she’s excited or frustrated generally, so her new family will need to be comfortable with a dog who likes to express herself. Lola absolutely loves learning and is always keen to engage in training. She responds really well to positive reinforcement (treats are a big help!) and we think she would thrive in activities like agility or other fun training games with her owner. Lola enjoys playing with toys when the mood strikes, particularly small, soft toys. She would suit an active home where she can enjoy walks, mental stimulation and plenty of interaction. Lola can be left for short periods once she has settled in, around 4–5 hours. Lola hasn’t had the most stable start in life, she has had several homes before coming to us, and she can sometimes feel unsure in certain situations. She can be sensitive about being touched, particularly around her collar, when she is resting and when she is being groomed. She has done a lot of training around choice-based handling and once she builds trust with her people, she becomes much more comfortable and relaxed. Lola is muzzle trained for veterinary visits as an extra safety precaution. Lola also prefers to have her own space for sleeping, with her bed in a quiet area where she won’t be disturbed. She can be a little protective of her belongings, especially blankets, but this is usually easy to manage by simply respecting her space. There have been occasions in the past where Lola has felt uncomfortable in situations like those described above and has responded with a low-level warning bite so it is important that her boundaries are respected. Lola does pull on the lead and is currently under going training for this. Around other dogs, Lola can occasionally feel worried by other dogs approaching, but she generally chooses to move away rather than engage. Because of her sensitivities, Lola is looking for an adult-only home with experienced, patient owners who understand that building trust takes time. She cannot live with cats. She may be able to live with a calm, well-matched dog after careful introductions and with appropriate management. For the right home, Lola will be a deeply loyal, loving companion who brings plenty of personality and affection into everyday life.’ Complete an adoption form
