Οι θερινές περνούν και οι χειμερινές διαδραματίζονται, αλλά η Minnie παραμένει στην ίδια πλαστική καραβάνα της, με το βλέμμα της να επιστρέφει από την μεταλλική πόρτα στις άλλες μεταλλικές πόρτες. Το πρόσωπο της Minnie έχει γίνει από όμορφο γκρι και φωτεινό βάρος, στιγμιότυπο γκρι, με κάθε περασμένη μέρα... Η Minnie είναι μέλος του Κλαμπ των Παλιών, των σκύλων πάνω από 10 χρόνια, που φαίνεται να μην τους θέλει κανείς πλέον. Η Minnie μπορεί να είναι ένα ανασφαλές κατοικίδιο όταν συναντά νέα άτομα, αλλά όταν ξεκινήσει να γνωρίζει κάποιον ακόμα και λίγο, είναι η πιο αγαπητή σκύλος με το δικό της ιδιαίτερο τρόπο. Θα απολαύσει μασάζ και κουρνιάσματα και τρόφιμα και ενθαρρυντικά λόγια από τον δικό της ανθρώπινο, και θα είναι επίσης σεβαστική στα ξένα όταν ο ανθρώπινος της μιλά σε άλλους ανθρώπους. Ταυτόχρονα, η Minnie αναζητεί έναν ανθρώπο που θα την προστατέψει από μη επιθυμητή προσοχή - τα ξένα δεν πρέπει να ενοχλούν την Minnie και να της αγγίξουν τυχαία, όχι, δεν την αγαπά - αυτή η γριούλα θέλει την ηρεμία της. Με την ηλικία της, η Minnie έχει δισκοπαθεία, αλλά πολύ σπάνια την ενοχλεί. Όπως όλοι μας όταν γερνούμε, έχουμε μέρες όπου νιώθουμε πόνο στο σώμα μας. Μερικές φορές η Minnie νιώθει τακτικότητα στην πλάτη της, ή πόνο στην κάτω πλάτη, αλλά έχει δει τον τραυματολόγο, και αν χρειαστεί κατά τη διάρκεια ορισμένων περιόδων, της συνταγογραφούνται να πάρει Gabapentina ή Librela. Μπορεί να ζήσει ένα φυσιολογικό ζωικό ζωντανεύοντας έξω από το φιλανθρωπικό ίδρυμα, σύμφωνα με την ηλικία της – αγαπά να περπατά στη φύση, και μετά είναι χαρούμενη στο κρεβάτι της. Το ιδανικό σπίτι για την Minnie θα είναι χωρίς παιδιά και προτιμητέα χωρίς σκύλους, αλλά ίσως να προχωρήσει με ένα καλά εκπαιδευμένο αρσενικό σκύλο που δίνει στην Minnie το χώρο της και είναι ήρεμος – σε αυτή την περίπτωση η οικογένεια θα πρέπει να είναι υπομονετική και να εργαστεί με έναν εκπαιδευτή της αρχικής περιόδου, ώστε όλοι να είναι άνετοι και να έχουν χρόνο να μάθουν τα όρια τους για το ιδιωτικό τους χώρο. Seasons come and seasons go, only Minnie stays in her same plastic basket, looking out the metal door, to the other metal doors. Minnie's face is going from beautiful beige and bright weight, to grey, with every passing day... Minnie's is a member of our Oldie's Club, dogs over 10 years of age, who noone seems to want anymore. Minnie can be an insecure dog when meeting new people, but once she gets to know you even just a little bit, she is the most affectionate dog in her own special way. She will enjoy massage and scratches and snacks and encouraging words from her very own human, and she will also be respectful to strangers when her human is speaking to other people. At the same time, Minnie is looking for a human who will protect her from unwanted attention - strangers should not be bothering Minnie and randomly going to touch her, no, she doesn't like it - this older lady wants her peace. Minnie LOVES to lay in the pool and just look around what others are doing. She sits very well when she is offered a treat, and when she is happy, she runs around like a young deer - you would not believe that she is over 11 years old! She walks very nicely on the leash. Minnie, with her age, has discoespondilosis, but mostly it does not bother her. Like all of us when we get older, we have days where we have pain in our body. Sometimes Minnie feels stiff in her back, or pain in her lower back, but she has seen a traumatologist, and should she need during some periods, she is prescribed to take Gabapentina or Librela. She could live a normal life, according to her age, outside of the shelter - she loves to walk in the nature, and afterwards she is happy sleeping in her little bed. The perfect home for Minnie would be without children and preferably without dogs, but it might work with a well trained male dog that gives Minnie her space and is calm - in this case the family would need to be patient and work together with a trainer in the initial period, so everybody would be comfortable and have time to learn their private space boundaries. Minnie dreams of a home that is in a quiet neighborhood, in the nature and in case of neighbors and community, for her safety, the people in the community should also be dog responsible and not let their uncontrolled dogs approach Minnie. As long as everyone is respectful for Minnie's private space, then everyone is happy! Minnie is very well trained to wear a muzzle and does not protest against it. Her shoulder height is approximately 50cm.
