Vintern kommer och vintern går, men Minnie är kvar i sin samma plastkorg, tittar ut genom den metalldörren, mot andra metalldörrar. Minnies ansikte växer från vackert blekt och tyngd, till grått, med varje förflutet dag... Minnie är en medlem i vår Äldreklubb, hundar över 10 år gammal, som ingen verkar vilja längre. Minnie kan vara en osäker hund när hon träffar nya människor, men när hon får kännedom om dig även bara lite, är hon den mest kärleksfulla hunden på sitt egna speciella sätt. Hon gillar massage och smekningar och godis och uppmuntrande ord från sin egen mänskliga och hon kommer också att vara respektfull mot främlingar när hennes mänskliga pratar med andra människor. Samtidigt söker Minnie en människa som skyddar henne från oönskad uppmärksamhet – främlingar bör inte störa Minnie och gå tillbaka och röra henne, nej, hon gillar det inte – denna äldre dam vill ha sin fred. Minnie älskar att ligga i poolen och bara kolla vad andra gör. Hon sitter mycket väl när hon får en belöning och när hon är nöjd springer hon runt som en ung hjort – du skulle inte kunna tro att hon är över 11 år! Hon går mycket trevligt på leken. På grund av sin ålder har Minnie diskospondylit, men det stör henne mest inte. Som alla vi när vi blir äldre, har vi dagar där vi har smärta i kroppen. Ibland känner Minnie sig hård i ryggen eller smärta i underrevet, men hon har besökt en traumatolog och om hon behöver det under vissa perioder är hon föreskriven att ta Gabapentina eller Librela. Hon kan leva ett normalt liv, enligt hennes ålder, utanför skyddshuset – hon älskar att promenera i naturen, och efteråt är hon nöjd med att sova i sin lilla säng. Den perfekta hemmet för Minnie är utan barn och helst utan hundar, men det kanske kan fungera med en vältränad hanhund som ger Minnie hennes plats och är lugn – i detta fall behöver familjen vara tålmodig och arbeta tillsammans med en tränare i den initiala perioden, så att alla är bekväma och har tid att lära sig sina privata gränser. Minnie drömmer om ett hem som ligger i en stilla miljö, i naturen och i fallet av grannar och gemenskap, för hennes säkerhet ska folk i gemenskapen också vara hundansvariga och inte låta deras okontrollerade hundar komma närmare Minnie. Så länge alla är respektfulla mot Minnies privata utrymme, så är alla glada! Minnie är mycket väl tränad att bära en mask och protesterar inte mot den. Hennes skuldhöjd är cirka 50 cm.

Seasons come and seasons go, only Minnie stays in her same plastic basket, looking out the metal door, to the other metal doors. Minnie's face is going from beautiful beige and bright weight, to grey, with every passing day... Minnie's is a member of our Oldie's Club, dogs over 10 years of age, who noone seems to want anymore. Minnie can be an insecure dog when meeting new people, but once she gets to know you even just a little bit, she is the most affectionate dog in her own special way. She will enjoy massage and scratches and snacks and encouraging words from her very own human, and she will also be respectful to strangers when her human is speaking to other people. At the same time, Minnie is looking for a human who will protect her from unwanted attention - strangers should not be bothering Minnie and randomly going to touch her, no, she doesn't like it - this older lady wants her peace. Minnie LOVES to lay in the pool and just look around what others are doing. She sits very well when she is offered a treat, and when she is happy, she runs around like a young deer - you would not believe that she is over 11 years old! She walks very nicely on the leash. Minnie, with her age, has discoespondilosis, but mostly it does not bother her. Like all of us when we get older, we have days where we have pain in our body. Sometimes Minnie feels stiff in her back, or pain in her lower back, but she has seen a traumatologist, and should she need during some periods, she is prescribed to take Gabapentina or Librela. She could live a normal life, according to her age, outside of the shelter - she loves to walk in the nature, and afterwards she is happy sleeping in her little bed. The perfect home for Minnie would be without children and preferably without dogs, but it might work with a well trained male dog that gives Minnie her space and is calm - in this case the family would need to be patient and work together with a trainer in the initial period, so everybody would be comfortable and have time to learn their private space boundaries. Minnie dreams of a home that is in a quiet neighborhood, in the nature and in case of neighbors and community, for her safety, the people in the community should also be dog responsible and not let their uncontrolled dogs approach Minnie. As long as everyone is respectful for Minnie's private space, then everyone is happy! Minnie is very well trained to wear a muzzle and does not protest against it. Her shoulder height is approximately 50cm.
