Minnie arca szép barna és ragyogó testsúlyból lassan szürkére változik, minden eltelt nappal... Minnie tagja az Öregek Klubjának, a 10 évesnél idősebb kutyák közül azoknak, akiket már senki nem akar. Minnie bizonytalan kutya új emberekkel való találkozásnál, de ha megismered egy kicsit, akkor az övé különleges módon szeretetteljes. Szereti a masszázst és a dörzsölést, a snacket és a bátorító szavakat a saját emberétől, és tisztelettel fogadja a külföldieket, amikor az ember másokkal beszél. Ugyanakkor Minnie egy olyan emberre vár, aki megvédje a kellemetlen figyelemtől – a külföldiek ne zavarják Minnie-t, és ne érintsék véletlenül, nem szereti ezt – ez az idős hölgy nyugalmat szeretne. Minnie imádja a medencében feküdni, és figyelni, mit csinálnak mások. Jól ül, amikor ajándékot kap, és ha boldog, akkor fiatal nyúlhoz hasonlóan rohan körbe – nem hiszitek el, hogy 11 évesnél is idősebb! Jól viselkedik a kutyaszoroson. Minnie életkora miatt diszkószpondilózisa van, de ez gyakran nem zavarja. Mint mi mindannyian, amikor idősebbek leszünk, vannak olyan napok, amikor testünk fáj. Néha Minnie merev a hátában vagy fájdalom van a hátsó részén, de látott traumatológust, és ha bizonyos periódusok alatt szükség lenne rá, Gabapentin vagy Librela receptet kap. Megélhet egy normális életet az ő korában, a menhelytől távol – szereti a természetben sétálni, majd boldogan alszik a kis ágyában. A Minnie számára ideális otthon olyan, amelyben nincsenek gyermekek, és inkább nincsenek kutyák, de lehet, hogy működni fog egy jól nevelt férfikutya, aki adja Minnie-nek a térét és nyugodt – ebben az esetben a családnak türelmesnek kell lennie, és egyedül dolgoznia kell egy edzővel a kezdeti időszakban, hogy mindenki kényelmes legyen, és időt kapjanak megtanulni a magánterület határait. Minnie álmai olyan otthonról szólnak, amely csendes környezetben van, a természetben, és ha a szomszédokról és a közösségről van szó, biztonságáért a közösség tagjai is kutyaszemélyesek, és nem engedik, hogy a saját kutyáik közelítsenek Minnie-hez. Seasons come and seasons go, only Minnie stays in her same plastic basket, looking out the metal door, to the other metal doors. Minnie's face is going from beautiful beige and bright weight, to grey, with every passing day... Minnie's is a member of our Oldie's Club, dogs over 10 years of age, who noone seems to want anymore. Minnie can be an insecure dog when meeting new people, but once she gets to know you even just a little bit, she is the most affectionate dog in her own special way. She will enjoy massage and scratches and snacks and encouraging words from her very own human, and she will also be respectful to strangers when her human is speaking to other people. At the same time, Minnie is looking for a human who will protect her from unwanted attention - strangers should not be bothering Minnie and randomly going to touch her, no, she doesn't like it - this older lady wants her peace. Minnie LOVES to lay in the pool and just look around what others are doing. She sits very well when she is offered a treat, and when she is happy, she runs around like a young deer - you would not believe that she is over 11 years old! She walks very nicely on the leash. Minnie, with her age, has discoespondilosis, but mostly it does not bother her. Like all of us when we get older, we have days where we have pain in our body. Sometimes Minnie feels stiff in her back, or pain in her lower back, but she has seen a traumatologist, and should she need during some periods, she is prescribed to take Gabapentina or Librela. She could live a normal life, according to her age, outside of the shelter - she loves to walk in the nature, and afterwards she is happy sleeping in her little bed. The perfect home for Minnie would be without children and preferably without dogs, but it might work with a well trained male dog that gives Minnie her space and is calm - in this case the family would need to be patient and work together with a trainer in the initial period, so everybody would be comfortable and have time to learn their private space boundaries. Minnie dreams of a home that is in a quiet neighborhood, in the nature and in case of neighbors and community, for her safety, the people in the community should also be dog responsible and not let their uncontrolled dogs approach Minnie. As long as everyone is respectful for Minnie's private space, then everyone is happy! Minnie is very well trained to wear a muzzle and does not protest against it. Her shoulder height is approximately 50cm.
