Cali era una chica muy nerviosa cuando llegó por primera vez a la casa, vino como un perro abandonado así que no sabemos mucho sobre su historia. Ha tomado mucho tiempo y paciencia para que Cali nos muestre su personalidad entusiasta y juguetona. Debido a esto estamos buscando un hogar experimentado que tenga el tiempo suficiente para conocer a Cali aquí antes de que se vaya a casa. Una vez que Cali conoce a alguien le encanta recibir atención y cariño. Le encanta salir a paseos por la zona boscosa y se pone muy emocionada con su correa, tira un poco con la correa debido a su tamaño, por lo tanto beneficiaría de un entrenamiento continuo. Cali disfruta de una carrera sin correa en el recinto cerrado donde puede perseguir una pelota de tenis. Cali necesitará vivir en un hogar solo para adultos con un jardín cercado donde tenga espacio para moverse libremente. Antes era un poco nerviosa e insegura con ciertos perros, hemos estado trabajando con ella en esto y presentándola a otros perros los cuales están ayudándole con sus interacciones sociales. Ahora es una chica amigable con la mayoría de los perros del lugar y puede saludar cara a cara de manera encantadora e incluso intenta jugar con otros. Necesitará formación continua para ayudar con su socialización. Aún creemos que Cali necesitará ser el único perro en la casa. Cali was a very nervous girl when she first arrived at the home, which was over 200 days now! It has taken a lot of time for staff and volunteers to get to know Cali and bring out her excitable, bubbly personality. Cali loves going for walks and off lead runs in our compound area, she will always be found with a football in her mouth. She loves to dodge past you whilst you try and catch her, her tail never stops wagging. Cali loves her treats and sits nicely whilst you give them to her. She has been toilet trained whilst in our care, which is a bonus for when she goes home. Cali can be strong on the lead at times due to her excitement to get outside and enjoy the fresh air but can walk nicely after her initial excitement is over, especially on a harness. Cali would love a fully enclosed garden with someone around most of the time so that she can come and go as she pleases. Cali spends most of her day relaxing on a comfy bed watching people come and go. She can be a little barky in her kennel at first but this is due to her wanting to say hello to everyone. Cali isn’t a cuddly kind of girl but would love a family that is willing to keep her entertained and will play with her toys. We believe that Cali needs to be in an adult only home, with a family that has experience with rescue dogs or bull breeds.
