Chloe fue dada por su familia, muy tristemente perdió su hogar y todo lo que conocía de un día para otro. Proveniente de un hogar, no un gran hogar ya que fue abandonada, pero aún así era un hogar - entonces el refugio es especialmente muy estresante para Chloe. Cuando un perro proviene de la calle o de abuso, entonces el refugio es un lugar de mejora para los perros, pero cuando vienen de un hogar, el dolor y el estrés son dolorosos de ver en un perro. Chloe es una perra mayor, pero nunca podrías darte cuenta porque está llena de vida, activa y juguetona. Una vez que esté lejos del entorno estresante del refugio, se relaja en la correa y realmente ama dar caminatas. Chloe debió haber sido un leñador en su vida anterior, porque nada le gusta más que un trozo de madera. Aunque Chloe es un perro activo, es fácil cansarla con un buen palo fuerte - lo lanzará al aire, lo masticará, lo llevará por ahí, correrá felizmente en el césped con el palo entre sus dientes - le encanta! Chloe puede ser un poco saltarina por emoción, o por la falta de actividad mental y física en el refugio, por lo tanto buscamos un hogar sin niños pequeños para Chloe, adolescentes a partir de 12 años probablemente no serían un problema. Una vez que esté lejos del estrés y tenga oportunidad de una buena caminata y carrera, es en realidad una perra tierna y observadora con una presencia tranquila y elegante. No se impone hacia las personas, sino que primero observa, lee la situación y luego ofrece interacción social. Hay algo increíblemente puro en su forma de conectar. Cuando te mira, es suave y reflexiva casi como si estuviera preguntando: "¿Puedo confiar en ti?" Una vez que lo hace, su lealtad es profunda y puedes ver la sonrisa en su cara iluminándose. Chloé no reacciona hacia otros perros y camina con calma en su presencia. Sin embargo, parece tener un fuerte instinto de caza - si escucha, huele o ve algo en los arbustos, está convencida de que debe investigarlo inmediatamente y se lanzará entusiasmadamente hacia ello, por lo tanto, si su futuro hogar estará en un área rural con conejos, ratones de campo etc., entonces su humano debe estar preparado para algunas carreras rápidas! Debido al instinto de caza, no debe pasearse sin correa. Un hogar sin gatos o perros pequeños sería lo mejor, y por supuesto un jardín asegurado sería excelente para Chloe, pero también estaría contenta viviendo en un apartamento espacioso, siempre que pueda hacer caminatas en la naturaleza para recoger sus palos. Creemos que podría vivir con otro perro, tal vez un macho más tranquilo y equilibrado, se pueden realizar pruebas al solicitar información. Chloe es muy inteligente y tiene un carácter fuerte ella misma, y necesita un dueño experimentado, quien pueda proporcionar estructura y guía consistente. Con el liderazgo adecuado y idealmente el apoyo de un entrenador o grupos de socialización, seguramente florecerá como un campeón de perro. Chloé merece un hogar que vea tanto su dulzura como su fuerza, y esté dispuesto a invertir en su futuro. Para adopciones en España, se necesitaría un registro PPP, el refugio puede ayudar con eso. Chloe was given away by her family, very sadly she lost her home and everything she knows from one day to another. Coming from a home, not a great one since she was abandoned, but still a home - then the shelter is especially very stressy for Chloe. When a dog comes from the street, or abuse, then the shelter is a place of improvement for the dogs, but when they come from a home, the heartbreak and stress is painful to see in a dog. Chloe is already a senior girl, but you would never be able to tell because she is so full of life, active, playful! Once she is away from the stressful environment of the shelter, she relaxes on the leash and really loves to go for walks. Chloe must have been a lumberjack in her previous life, because there is nothing she loves more than a stick of wood! Even though Chloe is an active dog, it is easy to tire her out with a good strong stick - she will throw it in the air, chew on it, carry it around, run cheerfully in the grass with the stick between her teeth - she loves it! Chloe can be a bit jumpy from excitement, or from the lack of mental and physical activity in the shelter, so we are looking for a home without small children for Chloe, teenagers from 12 years old should not be a problem. Once she is away from stress and had a chance for a good walk and run, she is actually a gentle and observant girl with a quiet, elegant presence. She doesn’t push herself forward to humans, but watches first, reads the situation, and then offer social interaction. There is something incredibly pure about her way of connecting. When she looks at you, it is soft and thoughtful almost as if she is asking, “Can I trust you?” Once she does, her loyalty runs deep and you can see the smile on her face lighting up. Chloé is not reacting toward other dogs and walks calmly in their presence. However, she has a strong prey drive it seems - if she hears, smells, or sees something in the bushes, she is convinced it must be investigated immediately and will enthusiastically dive toward it, so if her future home will be in a rural area with rabbits, field mice etc, then her human should be ready for some sprints! Because of the prey drive, she should not be walked off-leash. A home without cats or small dogs would be best, and of course a secured garden would be so great for Chloe, but she would also be happy living in a spacious apartment, as long as she can go walking in the nature to collect her sticks. We think she could potentially live together with another dog, a calmer, balanced male perhaps, tests can be done upon inquiry. Chloe is really intelligent and has a strong character herself, and she needs an experienced owner, who can provide structure and consistent guidance. With the right leadership and ideally the support of a trainer/socialisation group trainings she will surely blossom to a champion of a dog. Chloé deserves a home that sees both her softness and her strength, and is willing to invest in her future. For adoptions in Spain, a PPP registration would be needed, the shelter can help with that. Chloe is also available for international adoptions. Her shoulder height is approximately 56cm.
