Es una chica verdaderamente dulce que se ha convertido rápidamente en favorita entre los voluntarios gracias a su naturaleza tranquila y cariñosa. Aunque Darla tiene un lado tierno, también disfruta sus momentos juguetones y ha tenido mucho divertimento en las jaulas de ejercicio donde puede estirar las piernas y disfrutar. Ha pasado tiempo caminando y jugando con otro perro, Red, pero ha mostrado algunos comportamientos dominantes. Creemos que esto es probablemente debido a que está en celo actualmente, con sus hormonas afectando su comportamiento. Una vez que sea esterilizada, esto debería ayudarla a calmarse. A Darla le beneficiaría la socialización continua y positiva con otros perros para ayudarla a construir interacciones adecuadas y confianza. Darla necesitará un hogar que pueda brindarle ejercicio regular y capacitación continua para ayudarla a seguir desarrollándose como un compañero completo. Responde bien a la bondad y la consistencia, y con la guía adecuada, prosperará. No puede vivir con gatos, pero podría vivir con niños mayores de 10 años que entiendan cómo interactuar respetuosamente con los perros. BREED: Staffie cross IDEAL HOME: a home with a garden LIVING WITH CHILDREN: children 12 years plus LIVING WITH DOGS: I could potentially live with other well socialised dogs LIVING WITH CATS: I can’t live with cats Darla is a 1-year-old Staffie cross looking for her forever home. She is a truly sweet girl who has quickly become a favourite among the volunteers thanks to her calm and loving nature. While Darla has a gentle side, she also enjoys her playful moments and has had lots of fun in the free run pens where she can stretch her legs and enjoy herself. She has spent time walking and playing with another dog, Red, but has shown some dominant behaviours. We feel this is likely due to her currently being in season, with her hormones affecting her behaviour. Once she is neutered, this should help her to settle. Darla will benefit from continued, positive socialisation with other dogs to help her build appropriate interactions and confidence. Darla will need a home that can provide her with regular exercise and ongoing training to help her continue developing into a well-rounded companion. She responds well to kindness and consistency, and with the right guidance, she will thrive. She cannot live with cats but could live with children aged 10 years and over who understand how to interact respectfully with dogs.
