Elle est vraiment douce et est devenue rapidement une favorite parmi les bénévoles grâce à sa nature calme et aimante. Bien que Darla ait un côté doux, elle apprécie aussi ses moments de jeu et s'est beaucoup amusée dans les enclos libres où elle peut étirer ses jambes et s'amuser. Elle a passé du temps à marcher et jouer avec un autre chien, Red, mais a montré certains comportements dominants. Nous pensons que cela est probablement dû au fait qu'elle est actuellement en chaleur, avec ses hormones affectant son comportement. Une fois stérilisée, cela devrait l'aider à se calmer. Darla bénéficiera d'une socialisation continue et positive avec d'autres chiens pour l'aider à construire des interactions appropriées et de la confiance. Darla aura besoin d'un foyer qui lui fournira des exercices réguliers et une formation continue pour l'aider à continuer à se développer en un compagnon équilibré. Elle répond bien à la bienveillance et à la constance, et avec la bonne guidance, elle prospérera. Elle ne peut pas vivre avec des chats, mais pourrait vivre avec des enfants âgés de 10 ans et plus qui comprennent comment interagir respectueusement avec les chiens. She is a truly sweet girl who has quickly become a favourite among the volunteers thanks to her calm and loving nature. While Darla has a gentle side, she also enjoys her playful moments and has had lots of fun in the free run pens where she can stretch her legs and enjoy herself. She has spent time walking and playing with another dog, Red, but has shown some dominant behaviours. We feel this is likely due to her currently being in season, with her hormones affecting her behaviour. Once she is neutered, this should help her to settle. Darla will benefit from continued, positive socialisation with other dogs to help her build appropriate interactions and confidence. Darla will need a home that can provide her with regular exercise and ongoing training to help her continue developing into a well-rounded companion. She responds well to kindness and consistency, and with the right guidance, she will thrive. She cannot live with cats but could live with children aged 10 years and over who understand how to interact respectfully with dogs.
