02-06-26 Deloras es un Bichón Frise tímido que ya ha conquistado corazones aquí en el rescatista. Ha llegado a nuestro cuidado desde un criador y ahora busca un nuevo comienzo amoroso. Es bastante tímida por naturaleza, por lo que normalmente se queda atrás y nos observa desde la distancia durante unos minutos antes de encontrar gradualmente la confianza para pedir cariño. Aceptará el manejo cuando sea necesario, pero no es algo con lo que aún se sienta cómoda, y su primera reacción suele ser correr en lugar de ser atrapada. A pesar de sus preocupaciones, es una niña dulce y gentil que está haciendo todo lo posible por ser valiente. Deloras se lleva maravillosamente con sus amigos en la jaula y depende de su compañía para obtener consuelo, por lo tanto necesitará un perro amable en su nueva casa para guiarla y darle la seguridad que necesita mientras se establece y encuentra sus patas. I could live with dog-savvy teenagers who respect my space. I need a doggy friend in my new home. I haven’t met cats so I’m unsure. I'd like a secure garden to potter around in. I haven't tried walks yet, a secure garden will be fine for now. Please be patient with me, I need to learn house training and lead walking. I've started my vaccinations and will be spayed before adoption. 02-06-26 Deloras is a shy Bichon Frise who has already won over hearts here at the rescue. She has come into our care from a breeder and is now searching for a loving new start. Quite shy by nature, Deloras will often stand back and watch us from a distance for a few minutes before slowly finding the confidence to ask for a fuss. She will accept handling when needed, but it is not something she is comfortable with just yet, and her first instinct is often to run away rather than be caught. Despite her worries, she is a gentle and sweet little girl who is trying her best to be brave. Deloras gets on wonderfully with her kennel friends and relies on their company for comfort, so she will need a kind resident dog in her new home to help guide her and give her the reassurance she needs as she settles in and finds her paws. As Deloras has never lived in a home before, she will need to learn all about house training, lead training, and the other basics of home life. Her adopters will need to be patient and understanding as she adjusts to a completely new world. She could share her home with dog-savvy teenagers who can appreciate and understand that she will need a gentle, quiet introduction to the home and her own space to settle in. Deloras has arrived slightly overweight, so she will need a good diet and gentle exercise to help her reach and maintain a healthy weight. This will need to be continued in her new home. She also has some alopecia along her back which should improve with a good groom, diet and some TLC. Gentle, kind, and incredibly sweet, Deloras is the sort of dog who quietly works her way into your heart.
