George es muy bonito y llegó a nosotros tras el abandono de su anterior dueño, y ahora está listo para mirar hacia adelante a un futuro más brillante lleno de amor, cuidado y una buena dieta saludable. George es un verdadero encanto que solo necesita un poco más de amor y paciencia para ayudarlo a adaptarse a su nueva vida. La hora de comer se gestiona con cuidado para George, ya que actualmente está en una dieta gastrointestinal para ayudar a mantener un peso saludable y apoyar su digestión. George necesita tiempo para digerir sus comidas correctamente, por lo tanto, se le da comida poco y con frecuencia utilizando un comedero elevado. Esta rutina funciona bien para él y le permite vivir una vida feliz y cómoda. George adora sus paseos y disfruta salir a explorar. Está manejando bien su tratamiento y las gotas están ayudando, pero continuaremos buscando consejos veterinarios y podremos considerar un procedimiento en el futuro si es necesario para brindarle la mejor calidad de vida posible. Debido a su vida anterior, George ha perdido la oportunidad de aprender algunas habilidades sociales importantes. A veces tira de la correa y podría beneficiarse de unas sesiones en clases de entrenamiento canino para ayudarlo a ganar confianza y aprender comportamientos adecuados. George puede ser un alma un poco sensible y necesitará tiempo y paciencia para adaptarse a su nuevo hogar, pero realmente tiene un temperamento cariñoso y gentil. En este momento, creemos que George estaría más adecuado en un hogar donde pueda disfrutar de un entorno tranquilo y relajado después de todo lo que ha pasado. Please welcome George to our hotel George is a handsome 6-year-old Dogue de Bordeaux who has recently arrived into our care. Gorgeous George came to us following neglect from his previous owner, and he is now ready to look forward to a brighter future filled with love, care and a good, healthy diet. George is a real sweetheart who just needs a little extra love and patience to help him settle into his new life. Feeding time is managed carefully for George as he is currently on a gastrointestinal diet to help maintain a healthy weight and support his digestion. George needs time to digest his meals properly, so he is fed little and often using a raised feeder. This routine works well for him and allows him to live a happy, comfortable life. George absolutely adores his walks and enjoys getting out to explore. As you might expect with his size and breed, he can be strong on the lead, especially when he finds a good scent to follow. At the moment George is receiving medication for his feet and some sore patches on his skin, but he is healing well and we are hopeful this will only be short-term treatment. He is also having eye drops applied as he suffers from mild entropion, a condition where the eyelashes grow inwards and rub against the eye. He is coping well with his treatment and the drops are helping, but we will continue to seek veterinary advice and may consider a procedure in the future if needed to give him the best quality of life. Due to his previous life, George has missed out on learning some important social skills. He can sometimes pull on the lead and may benefit from a few sessions at dog training classes to help him build confidence and learn appropriate behaviours. George can be a slightly sensitive soul and will need time and patience to adjust to his new home, but he truly has a loving and gentle temperament. At this time, we feel George would be best suited to a home where he can enjoy a calm and relaxed environment after everything he has been through. Knowledge of the Dogue de Bordeaux breed is essential for his rehoming, as George will need committed owners who understand the breed and are willing to meet all of his needs. George is a big, slobbery boy who is very food-motivated and full of love. He deserves the very best life and a family who will give him all the care and affection he has always deserved. George could potentially live with a neutered female canine who is calm. He will require multiple introductions at the centre to help build bonds. With my bestie enjoying the sun ❤️
