Soy un Cocker Spaniel de 9 años buscando mi hogar perfecto para siempre. No dejes que mi edad me engañe, aún amo una buena sesión de juego con mis juguetes y disfruto salir a pasear para oler todos los interesantes olores. Después de tanto divertimento, los abrazos son definitivamente mi cosa favorita en el mundo. Si tienes un sofá cómodo, ¡con gusto te ayudaré a mantenerlo calentito! Soy un chico sensible y puedo sentirme un poco nervioso alrededor de otros perros, así que necesito presentaciones lentas y humanos pacientes que entiendan que me gusta tomar mi tiempo para hacer amigos. Por esta razón, preferiría ser el único mascota en el hogar para que pueda tener todo tu amor y atención. También puedo ser un poco inseguro con las visitas que entran a la casa, así que busco un dueño que me ayude a sentirme seguro y sea consciente cuando la gente venga a visitar. Una vez que confíe en ti, soy un compañero muy leal. Mi hogar ideal sería en un lugar tranquilo, quizás un pueblo o zona rural con menos perros alrededor, donde la vida sea calmada y pacífica. También me encantaría tener un jardín seguro donde pueda pasear, jugar con mis juguetes y disfrutar del aire libre con seguridad. Puedo estar solo por periodos cortos (alrededor de 1-2 horas), aunque puede que necesite un poco de ayuda para acostumbrarme al principio, ya que los cambios pueden ser un poco preocupantes para mí. I’m an 18-month-old crossbreed with long, lanky legs, a big personality and a mind that is always on the go! I’m a bit of a mystery mix, so we don’t know exactly what breeds make up my family tree. What we do know is that, despite not looking like a typical Collie, I definitely show some Collie-like behaviours. I’m a clever boy with a busy mind who loves having a job to do, and I’m looking for a home that will keep both my body and my brain busy. I’m being rehomed through no fault of my own, and I’m looking for a family who really wants an adventure companion. I’d love to try dog sports such as agility or Canicross, or spend my days exploring the countryside, enjoying long walks and going on exciting adventures. When we’re not out exploring, I’d love you to keep my brain occupied with enrichment, training and fun activities. I’m a boy who likes to have a purpose! I’m also a very affectionate and rather clingy chap. I want to be where you are, preferably right beside you, and I’m looking for a family who wants me to be a true part of their lives. If you’re happy to share your sofa, your bed and pretty much everything else with a very loving four-legged shadow, we’re going to get along brilliantly! I could potentially live with children aged 8 and over, provided they are comfortable around an energetic and enthusiastic dog like me. I’d love a family who understands that I can be busy and excitable and will help me learn how to settle as well as keeping my clever brain occupied. When it comes to other dogs, I can be a little bit silly when meeting them, so I’ll need some help and guidance with my social skills. I may be able to have some calm walking friends in the future, but for now I’d like to be the only pet in the home while I learn how to be my best self. Because I love my people so much, I’m also looking for a home where I won’t be left for long periods. My family will need to be around for me, or be willing to build up my time alone gradually and at my own pace. I have managed to be left for 4-5 hours previously. If you’re looking for an energetic, clever and affectionate adventure companion who wants to be your whole world, I might just be the boy for you. I’m ready to find someone who will embrace my busy brain, my long legs and my enormous capacity for love!
