Descripción: Conoce a Joey. Joey es un cockatiel lutino y tiene 18 meses de edad. Aún no come filetes ni ninguna verdura/fruta ofrecida sin embargo eso no me ha impedido intentarlo. Está comiendo una combinación de semilla delgada y fitness, pellets Zupreem, semilla Tidymix, semilla de cáñamo y semilla de chía y ocasionalmente mezclada con semilla de cáñamo u avena. Nunca había salido de su jaula antes de venir conmigo a Safehouse hace 4 semanas, así que no sabía volar. En las últimas 4 semanas ha aprendido a volar, recibe mucho tiempo fuera de la jaula y vuela y aterriza muy bien sin embargo, comprensiblemente todavía está un poco nervioso pero ha dado un gran avance. Cuando llegó estaba siseando y mordiendo lo cual es completamente normal debido a sus anteriores circunstancias de no interactuar con humanos o salir nunca de su jaula. Ya no muerde pero tiene un siseo ocasional (comportamiento típico de un cockatiel). Se ha convertido absolutamente en un pequeño chico muy agradable y tranquilo y es cada día más confiado. Description: Meet Joey. Joey is a lutino cockatiel and is 18 months old. He still won’t eat chops or any veg/fruit offered however it hasn’t stopped me trying. He is eating a combination of lean and fit seed, zupreem pellets, tidymix seed, hemp and chia seed and occasionally mix with either hemp seed or oats. He had never been out of his cage before coming to safehouse with me 4 weeks ago so didn’t know how to fly. Over the 4 weeks he has now learned how to fly, gets plenty of out of cage time and flies and lands great however understandably he is still a little nervous but has come a very long way. When he arrived he was hissing and biting which is completely normal due to his previous circumstances of not interacting with humans or ever coming out of his cage. He no longer bites but has the occasional hiss (typical cockatiel behaviour) He absolutely has become such a pleasant calmer little boy and is more and more trusting everyday.
